If that's a reference to Rob's frequently-used aphorism about successful TV shows etc, I thought he said it - in the past, anyway - as "accident" rather than "mistake."

John,
Momas Too is okay for pizza, but it's not as good as Emmy's Squares. On 60th and 10th. Not convenient to Columbia, but convenient to the Lincoln Center parking lot.

In the DVD commentary by Tom Clancy and Phil Alden Robinson, the director of The Sum of All Fears (2002), Clancy is astonished to discover that the director sincerely believes in the film’s preposterous Eurotrash plutocrat terrorists.
When the filmmakers swapped out the book’s all-too-plausible Arab terrorists, it wasn’t just craven avoidance of “Islamophobia” accusations.
This is why I make a distinction between “upstream” and “downstream” progressives. Only the “upstream” progressives know that they’re lying.

A movie where it appears the "hero" didn't "win" but actually did?
Well, some people - contrarians, maybe - seem to enjoy claiming that "Indy" doesn't win in "Raiders." Because "he doesn't affect the outcome of the story." But he does. No, the university didn't get the Ark. But neither do the Nazis. Without Indy, the Nazis have the Ark, and presumably use it to take over the world. (Although this seems odd, as the movie made it appear that the Ark has - or at least conducts? - some form of conscience that would not allow it to be used for evil.)

In regards to Jonah’s last suggestion to turn the sprinklers on in the encampments, one location has beaten this. Saw a clip in my Twitter timeline where someone put a five gallon water bottle over the sprinkler head so the water just hit the inside of the bottle. The hippies were merrily dancing feet away.
