Three years after the October 7 massacre, Victor Davis Hanson looks back at the attack on Israel, Hamas’ preparations for war, and the response that followed.
He breaks down the scale of the assault, the hostages taken, the thousands of rockets fired at Israeli civilians, and the billions of dollars in aid Hamas diverted toward weapons and an enormous tunnel network.
Hanson also asks why so much of the West turned against Israel almost immediately after the attack, and why Israel is now so often portrayed as the aggressor rather than the country that was attacked.
