More Democratic infighting means more popcorn on today’s Three Martini Lunch. Join Jim and Greg as they get a kick out of Tulsi Gabbard suing Hillary Clinton for defamation after Hillary indirectly accused Gabbard of being a Russian asset. They’re also very puzzled as to why Joe Biden would insist on not deporting illegal immigrants guilty of drunk driving, especially given his own family’s story. And they discuss the House impeachment managers’ odd tactic of accusing the jurors in the Senate of assisting President Trump in a cover-up if they reject any efforts by Democrats to subpoena documents or witnesses.

Another factor in the Tulsi/Hillary brawl is that Tulsi is a US Military officer. Calling her (or any such officer) treasonous is not endearing.

What would happen to a green card holder or work visa participant, if they got caught with a DUI? I think a DUI can really de-rail a citizen’s life.

Remember, Jim Geraghty is always wrong.

17:45 — “Unless there is some sort of rebuke to him [Trump], from the Senate, beyond partisan lines, he will do this again.  He will have learned nothing from this …”

Please.  Even if Donald Trump believes he did nothing wrong, he certainly understands that it gave ammunition to his enemies, and caused him no end of trouble and embarrassment.

There was a Congressional statute that said Trump could not release the money unless the Ukraine cleaned up its corruption. Given the short period in which Trump held the money, I do not see that as anything other than due diligence. So what did Trump do wrong in the context of the other law?
