Join Jim and Greg for four martinis today, as they begin with the breaking news that Tucker Carlson and Fox News Channel are going their separate ways effective immediately. Then it's on to the regularly scheduled martinis, starting with both the Wall Street Journal and New York Times raising the alarm about Biden running for a second term at his age and mental state. The Journal says Biden is in "obvious decline." Then they shudder at a Washington Post story revealing the Islamic State has a home in Afghanistan and his actively plotting attacks in Asia and Europe and is doing aspirational plotting against the United States. Finally, they discuss the frenzied damage control at Anheuser-Busch after losing billions in market share after celebrating the "womanhood" of transgender figure Dylan Mulvaney.

Very lame explanation/speculation of why Tucker was fired. "you might say something that will get us sued so you have to accept us filtering your voice". First, did Tucker broadcast anything on his show that dominion referenced in its law suit? Isn't it the case that Fox past and present can, whenever it wants, pull any episode off the air or suspend a host or issue a retraction?
The fact that Jim and Greg do not see this as a hair on fire moment speaks volumes to how out of touch the establishment is to at least my views. Tucker put out a very interesting show. He defended the Jan 6 protesters and reported frequently on the fentanyl crisis.
Tonight's replacement show was formula directed and mediocre. Here we have Biden being incoherent and not being able to spell. Next report is people are putting bullet proof glass on their cars. Bid deal. And the host does not explain why Tucker was fired - no guts.

Under similar circumstances several years ago, Fox replaced Glenn Beck with The Five, with great success. They may do something similar here.
When he remembered he was a conservative talk show host, Tucker did a lot of good; but his credulous coverage of UFOs was an embarrassment, and his knee-jerk isolationism on Ukraine, actively harmful. I stopped watching him long before he was fired.
