Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim. Before today’s martinis, Scot and Greg mull over the latest round of Speaker of the House roulette on the GOP side and whether any of the nine new candidates can get to 217 votes. Then they throw up their hands as the New York Times rehires a photojournalist who was suspended just last year for blatantly pro-Hitler social media posts. His assignment now? Cover the Israel-Hamas war of course. They also shudder as U.S. Customs and Border Protection releases a letter explaining high levels of concern that radical Islamic fighters may be in this country or headed here thanks to our porous southern border. Finally, they fume as Oregon state officials no longer require student to show a basic mastery of reading, writing, or math to graduate from high school – saying it’s unfair to “historically marginalized students.”
