Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Join Jim and Greg as they welcome a well known woman of the left advising Democrats to take a serious approach to the House investigation of Hunter Biden and the Biden family. They also have a lot of fun with former White House Counsel Greg Craig’s suggestion that the Democrats have an open primary for vice president. It’s obviously a sign of low enthusiasm for Kamala Harris but it’s also a political free-for-all that would be very entertaining – although they know it will never happen. Finally, they roll their eyes as the late night water carriers for leftist talking points take shots at the Department of Energy over the recent COVID lab leak conclusion.

Colbert is the worst. He’s no longer funny and basically a shill for the DNC. Kind of like a skinny and less follically challenged Brian Stelter.
@glennamurgis — But is Stephen Colbert always wrong? No, Jim Geraghty is always wrong.
Here’s a transcription of Colbert‘s comment:
“Now, if like me you’re wondering why the Department of Energy is the one making this judgment, it’s because that agency oversees a network of US national laboratories, some of which conduct advanced biological research. No, no! [laughter] Bad Energy Department! No bio labs until you finish building your electric car charging stations. [laughter]”
Notice what Colbert doing here. He’s telling millions of liberal viewers that the Energy Department is, in fact, an authority in this field. And then he’s making a self-deprecating joke about his reluctance to accept the facts, offering an intentionally ridiculous argument.
By contrast, on one of Gutfeld‘s shows on Fox last night, I think it was Gutfeld himself who questioned why the Energy Department was involved — and didn’t provide the answer.
I never found Colbert funny. Even back in the days of the Colbert Report – is one joke was that conservatives are dumb. That was the point of every bit he did… A comedian should have more than one joke.
He’s always been a partisan hack.
I wish someone would build nuke plants.
I think the joke was on him, back then. Like when Norman Lear thought everyone would hate Archie Bunker.
