It has been one year and one week since Rush Limbaugh last sat behind the Golden EIB microphone and broadcast with substantial talent on loan from God. In this final Ricochet Podcast for 2021, James Lileks welcomes James Golden, aka Bo Snerdley to the show and they reminisce about Rush’s rise, the impact he had across the media landscape and more.

See you in the New Year!

Great to hear Snerdley again!  Thanks for putting this one together, Lileks!

It was my pleasure! All I did was yammer. The putting-together was done by his publicist and Blue Yeti.

Actually it was apparently February 2.  I remember one of his last comments was ridiculing President Biden for being afraid to travel in 1/2 an inch of snow.  I think I listened to part of that final show in my car.

Just got James Golden’s book on Kindle. Am looking forward to reading it. So grateful to him for making it possible for Rush to do what he did. Without the right support/ facilitator, people like Rush Limbaugh “die with their music still inside them” as the saying goes.

Also, Rush’s asides to Bo Snerdley were some of the most inspired moments of the show.

I occasionally listen to Bo now that he has his own radio show in NYC.  He’s pretty good in his own right.  Boy it was great to hear Rush’s voice again.  I still find it hard to believe he is gone from the earth.  He was the absolute best.

    Love it.

    We need to stand up.

We need to keep our kids out of school.  Great CPS will take the kids

We need to stay home.  Great not sure how me being unemployed will help.  As various bosses have told me over my career that if I had an issue with my job they will have an foreigner replace me in a 5 minute phone call.

We need to stand up to our school board.  Great.  Not sure how the FBI branding me a terrorist and making me unemployable will help.

I noticed those people that stood up in Charlottesville over statues did well…..

I noticed those people that stood against a corrupt election on 1/6 did great.  Some may have even stayed out of jail.
