Return of the Working Class Republican

Who better to talk to on our post-election victory lap episode than the man who saw it coming? Henry Olsen joins after proving correct in his daring prediction in the New York Post of a Trump-led red wave. We get into how he called it and his detailed post-op report. We also give him the chance to take off his analyst cap to do a little rooting for the team. And, of course, we get into his 2017 book, The Working Class Republican: Ronald Reagan and the Return of Blue-Collar Conservatism, where he posited that the unlikely figure of Donald Trump was returning the Republican Party to the foundations that the Gipper laid out.

- Sound clip from the open: Donald Trump "firing" Kamala Harris at his rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Hosted by James Lileks, Peter Robinson, and Steve Hayward, with guest Henry Olsen

I thought the podcast was good because there were many different opinions.

If Kamala had won, I think that having differing opinions would be outlawed!!

If only out of respect for Steve Hayward, I try to believe that Henry Olsen knows what he's talking about - I really do.

Henry Olsen opens by misnaming his own podcast. Soon after that he speaks about being "on the beach in Houston."

. . . at which point I have lost the will to pay close enough attention to understand the differential calculus of his detailed explanation reconciling the election results with his predictions that weren't quoted or described in any detail.

Shackmanites v. Lovestonites didn't do it for me, either. If only Lucretia had been there to remind Steve what a pretentious intellectual he is.

A rewarding closing though - I have been on the record for over three decades warning Americans about the inevitable electromagnetic pulse attack. Nice to welcome JD Vance and James Lileks aboard.

I know quite a few people that say on the beach in Houston. Yes, they are actually in Galveston or the Bolivar peninsula usually but it is still the Houston metro area.

I just want to say I don't respect "Caitlyn" Jenner.
