Hello, Cleveland

This week, a full recap of last night’s debate, Who lost, who won, who got trumped, who’s campaign is probably over, whose campaign got a big boost. Also, is Senator Shumer’s opposition to the Iran deal sincere or just politics? All answers lie within, so tune in.

    Jeb Bush

Just a day or two ago he made an innocent comment about half a billion for Planned Parenthood , Warren and Hillary screeched with phony outrage and he collapsed within two hours. Who’s idea ? His ? The consultants ? No matter, it was an instant collapse. That is what we’re worried about, no matter how conservative he used to be, he’s not up to the fight. He should have double and tripled down. How about referring to PP as monsters who kill babies , tear them apart and sell the parts? How about screaming back that Warren and Clinton support MONSTERS! Plus they insist on using our money to do it. If Bush can’t articulate outrage about something this outrageous, then when?

Jeb Bush awarded his presumed opponent, Hillary Clinton, a Liberty Medal after it was clear she failed to defend our soldiers and diplomats from death in Benghazi. Forget the surname and he’s still a fool’s candidate.

Kasich should have been on the phone all day –

Jindal, want to be Sec/HHS and head the Obamacare Replacement Task Force?

Christie, want to be Attorney General?

    Perry, Homeland Security?

Carson, Surgeon General and Science Advisor?

    Graham, Defense?

    Pataki, Dog Catcher in Guam?

Rob Long tells his best joke ever: Jeb Bush is an “extremely conservative guy”.

    Now, my sides hurt.

Jeb Bush in no way has ever been a conservative.

Ask Mark Levin.  Ask Coulter who is more conservative: Jeb Bush or Mitt Romney.

I very gladly voted for Mitt Romney.  I’d have real trouble voting for Prince Jeb.

Chris Christie offers entitlement reform, a plus in my book, while Mike Huckabee can’t even do a simple math.

I’ve heard Peter Robinson swear twice. Once when impersonating Nixon, and now, impersonating Reagan. Now if only we can hear him do Truman calling a Hirohito a [CoC].

Best line of debate was Huckabee on Obama: trust but vilify.

My impression of debate FWIW 1) Format-hated it. Fox made it a spectacle. Love Meghan Kelley but thought she was strident and unprofessional. 2) Kasich-golly John, are you conservative on anything? 2)Paul-being irrational here but have a visceral dislike of him. Seems like a pandering coward and feel he is dangerous on national security 3) Walker-my man, was totally non-descript and unimpressive 4) Carson-remind me what the rationale of your candidacy is? 5) Huckabee-most like able and so quick-witted. The opposite of Hillary. Would love to see him debate her. 6) Rubio-most polished but, like Cruz and Obama, resent someone who has accomplished nothing in Senate thinking they can be President 7) Cruz-views seems to come from without rather than within. Too used car for me and too calculating. 8) !Yeb-consummate gentleman but one of two (with Paul) that I won’t vote for based on immigration. 9) Trump-can’t base campaign on growling at press (though I like it) 10) Christie-gave great responses to Paul and Huckabee, esp latter.

By saying Rand Paul ‘did not break out’ I assume Rob meant to say that for enough American voters who watched he made himself absolutely implausible as an inhabitant of 1600 Penn. Ave…..Right?

Also, worst Kelly performance ever.. and I’m a BIG Megyn fan…and I think FOX was so insecure that it was afraid the rest of the MSM would attack them for tossing softballs to the GOP that they ended up making themselves (the questioners) bigger than the debate—The questions went for 31 minutes!

re: school choice, how is Florida’s the only “real conservative school choice program?”

The programs in Indiana and Wisconsin and Louisiana (and the new one in Nevada) aren’t perfect, but they’re unquestionably real.

I get Bush’s logic on Common Core.  I get the logic behind NCLB too.  I don’t see Bush’s position as an attempt at a massive government takeover of education — I see it as a failure to ask “what could go wrong.”  That’s a consistent failing of the centrist education reform movement, and it concerns me on a deeper level.  I don’t expect the candidate to promise to abolish the Dept. of Ed. and I’m sure we will hear standard political noises on the issue, but I don’t want to get the sense that he thinks he can “fix” education from Washington.  And I still get that sense from Bush.

It’s time for a new “RINO intervention” episode. Except this time Rob gets to perform the intervention on Ann.

    Peter!

For the love of Gaia, it is long past time for you to get over Mitt Romney’s comment about Ronald Reagan 21 (twenty-one!) years ago. I mean, really. It’s becoming somewhat undignified.

All the Clintonistas would have to do is run the tape of  Jeb praising Hillary, instant campaign ad.

I don’t get exasperated easily, but I’ve got to say, guuuuuuuys.

The one mention of Carly Fiorina (thank you, James) leads to a verrrry halllllting admission that she miiiiiight be permitted to join the adult table?  Wow.

If the RNC had a brain in their collective elbows, and they really wanted to nullify Trump, they would set up a primetime debate between Carly and the Donald.  She would smilingly outpitch him, vindicate Megyn Kelly, take Trump out for a drink afterwards, and exit with a deal that’s a win-win-win-win.

How about no more calling a successful businessman a clown. I don’t know which one of you is which but one writes humor for TV.  He’s the clown. The others sit and type something. That’s good.

We don’t have Carter II in the Whitehouse.  We have an insurrectionist who is using the underclass and illegals to help him fight the police in order to acquire, he hopes, absolute power.

I didn’t hear one thing about immigration. That’s what makes Trump strong.

Thank you for Reagan Reagan Reagan. Sounds like Moynahan, Bolton, Peters and Trump and only them.

Bush? He makes more gaffs than Biden. I don’t buy into sibling rivalry.

Beer? The only reason to drink with Trump is because of expensive beer? Are you not aware of his accomplishments?  Successes? Do you actually think you can learn nothing from him…the rodeo clown? And you like Bush?
