For our 200th podcast, we assembled all four Power Line Beatles, John, Paul, George and Ringo Steve and Scott, to kick around various current topics, including Steve’s own experience with cancel culture, the state of the presidential race, whether the United States might actually break up after this election regardless of who wins, and above all some reflections on 18 years of Power Line, where we have (according to our site meter) posted over 57,000 items.

This special episode is a crossover event, edited down from a live VIP chat session held late in the week, in which we took audience questions. So once you’d paid your Ricochet monthly dues, you should consider becoming a Power Line VIP subscriber, too. You not only get ad-free access to the site, but invitations to participate in special events and occasional premium content.

If it is generally believed that Joe Biden is indeed already senile, then Republicans have a duty to press their objections today and not wait until after Biden’s possible election or even until later in the campaign.

What could make a worse mockery of democratic elections than placement of a senile pawn in our government’s highest office?

Political strategy, if not honor, requires that Republicans make their objections now to voters being hoodwinked by election of a pawn or a President immediately and deliberately replaced by the Vice President. Democrats would rightly argue during impeachment debates that Republicans could have and should have insisted a senile candidate be replaced and voted for while time remained to do so.

If Democrats are allowed to propose a clearly senile pawn immediately after an unprosecuted felon in the previous election, then I might never vote again because this government would clearly be a fraud.

I know I’ve said this before, but I highly recommend listening to the reason magazine interview by Nick Gillespie of Thaddeus Russell. He owns the website renegade history. He just nails what’s wrong with college.

He might be kind of a tricky guest because he’s pretty far left.

I’ve been thinking more recently that I really need to read the Benedict Option. That may be what we have to do in some way. Happy 20oth! They haven’t cancelled you yet.
