Time and Time Again

It’s your post Thanksgiving, tryptophan induced podcast with your humble servants, Jonah Goldberg, Rob Long, and John Podhoretz. This week, The Kochs buy some Time, Goldberg goes to Broadway, sexual harassment has landed in Congress and now due process is very important, and the boys pick their favorite Pixar movie (but they don’t hug it).

That shot of Franken pawing JPod is priceless.  Is there an on-line photo art “Pulitzer” that can be awarded to EJ Hill by acclamation?

The way the floating links looked on my phone in portrait mode made it hard to fully appreciate the graphic.

We shall address this gross oversight.

I expected Jonah to come more to the defense of the later portions of Up and its glorious depiction of dog life.  I agree that The Incredibles is the best Pixar film, but another unmentioned great film was Inside Out with its great emotional complexity.

The Dallas in Russia story reminds me the Grapes of Wrath.  It was first shown in the Soviet Union under Stalin as an example of how bad capitalism is.  The viewers were surprised that very poor Americans could afford cars.

    “Eventually, your (Trump’s/the President’s) opinions don’t matter.”

Good! Fantastic! God bless Trump! The reality is that on 99% of topics, the President is just another citizen and his opinions do not or should not matter. Those who wait on his every word and report them are the reason we have an imperial Presidency. Thank God that Trump is doing something about this by making those people look ridiculous.

Up is a great movie all the way. I think I need to see The Incredibles again, which isn’t very memorable to me, having seen it only once a decade ago.
