Ricochet Audio Network: Hey oh, the men of GLoP are back (despite predictions to the contrary in certain quarters).

I wasn’t commenting or “predicting” about having NO episode this month, it was about disclosures in the past that advertisers expected TWO per month, which can be quite difficult if the first episode doesn’t come out until the 25th.

I wish you guys would post the movies and shows you discuss. I don’t generally listen to podcasts with pen and paper at hand.  Rob, I do like the new Martini Shot.

Because I was alive in August 1977, My mom was a huge Elvis fan. I was paying attention.

Fixed that yesterday. Re-download the file to get the fixed version.

Moved an outtake from the end to the top of the show and there was a stray piece of audio left over that I didn’t see way past the ending.

You are all assuming he’s dead. Many good people have a very different take on the situation.

Just last week he was seen in one of the restaurants he owns in the Algarve, Southern Portugal.

Yes we did. But this is a podcast of 3 friends chewing the fat. And stories are repeated. I had this project to do a synopsis of every episode but unfortunately, not all episodes are available.

Are you sure they’re not?  I thought, last time I checked, they were.  They may not all show up in iTunes, so maybe you have to download them individually from the site.

But if that doesn’t work either, I have them all saved.

P.S.  The current GLoP episode number is off by one, it’s too low; they re-used the same number twice, some time ago, and never fixed it.  (They may have “fixed” that recently by no longer using the numbers.)

I wouldn’t be surprised if TDS affects that too, even if not all the time, and not always in obvious ways.

So does anyone who isn’t afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome buy that the hearing revealed anything?

The really creepy thing about listening to this podcast is that they are all perfectly fine with a process that is, in effect, a trial in which only the prosecution is permitted to speak or call witnesses.

They are untroubled by this, because what is said is so much in line with their prejudices.  Letting Trump defenders, or even just non-quisling Republicans, speak would merely confuse matters, they feel.

GLoP is not really the venue for this discussion, but if you listen to their other, more news cycle based podcasts (or read the G-File or Commentary), both Jonah and John have made said multiple times that Republicans should have been better represented on the 1/6 Commission.

Fixed it for you. I dont think the republicans can claim to be represented at all when the democrats picked which republicans will participate.

I hope appreciate the feeling when in January the shoe is on the other foot, and planted very firmly on the democrat backside.

Seems to me that’s part of the problem, Jonah and John might think Republicans ARE properly represented, even though the “Republicans” on the committee are potted plants at best.  Nancy Pelosi wouldn’t allow anything else. And they believe things such as the hearsay that Trump assaulted a Secret Service agent, even though Secret Service agents who were there have said that it didn’t happen.  Maybe it’s because Jonah and John are “media people” themselves and like Andy McCarthy with “Department of Justice” people where he used to work, even though he knows they’re compromised – to put it mildly – their first reaction is still to always somehow “emotionally” believe people that they know intellectually have been lying for years/decades.  That’s on top of the “Republicans” especially Liz Cheney actually being on the Democrats’ side.

The word “better” was mine, not theirs so don’t hold that against them.

And while I know you think Liz Cheney is persona non grata, she is a Republican doing what she feels is right despite it being almost certainly fatal to her career as a politician. Generally speaking, we need more people like that, not less.

I disagree on who Liz Cheney is. She’s not the principled politician sacrificing her career. She’s just carrying on the family vendetta against Trump.

Generally speaking we need more people who are really like that, but with better judgement. The entire RussiaGate hoax has collapsed, its now been proven to have been the largest dirty tricks campaign in American history. Yet she persists.
