Professor Jason Hedden, of Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, FL, is a longtime friend of Dave’s and had a front-row seat to the damage wrought by Hurricane Michael just over a year ago. As Dave reminds us, when the cameras go away, the crisis lingers. Particularly the criss of a Category 5 hurricane which forever altered the landscape and lives of the Panama City area. Professor Hedden takes us on a journey of sorts, as the community rebuilds and rebounds, interestingly enough, with valuable contributions from the Arts community.
Additionally, a new contributor makes his debut on the program, and Dave takes the occasion to solicit the opinions of you the listener, as he contemplates adding yet another dimension to an already jam-packed show. Your thoughts please?

Poetry, process improvements, college football and gratitude? There’s just nothing missing.

As for the question, I wouldn’t mind the Youtube, but Yeti is right that it is difficult to do it right. If you want that much work and that many opportunities to learn, go for it.

Yep, that’s pretty much the general consensus. The question I have to answer, I suppose, is whether or not it would be worth the effort. Glad you liked the show!

Aw Mr. Carter. I don’t know if I want to share you with the great unwashed. You do an excellent job on your podcast – other Ricochet podcasters could take lessons from you – so I would assume you will not YouTube unless you can do it very well. Also, best wishes to Sydney for a full recovery.

Well you’re very kind, as always, and thank you for the kudos. And you’re correct that I wouldn’t take this next step unless it could be done right. Still not sure though. A few years in radio taught me the value of technical quality, and I’d carry that over to video if I decide to go that route.

BTW Dave, you’re good looking enough to have a YouTube channel. But then I’m married to a former military man from LA with gray hair.

Thank you! I’ll be insufferable now.

You’re not proposing to do any dancing on this YouTube channel, are you? Because that could be … unfortunate.

Oh no, of course not. I could reduce line dancing to bumper cars in mere seconds.
