The Democratic Party has been moving left non-stop for over 30 years. Polling by Pew Research from 1994 to 2017 showed a lurch to the left for the median Democrat.
(Pew stopped issuing this poll in 2017... My private suspicion is that the median Democrat no longer fits on the graph.)
But it's now clear: Democrats are Socialists. It became obvious to me back in 2020. Biden won the party primary in 2020 by switching horses mid-stream. While he started out as the "moderate" Democrat, those positions got no traction. So, after losing the first several primary contests in embarrassing fashion, he began co-optingSocialist Bernie Sanders' positions. And with the public support of South Carolina's Jim Clyburn, the new-version Biden won the 2020 Democratic nomination.
But it's been made official: In a newly released Quinnipiac University poll, 59% of registered Democrats say they support the Democratic Socialists of America.
Ending Capitalism and free markets. Check.
Defund the police. Abolish the police and prisons. Check, Check and Check.
Medicare for All—including abortion and trans-mutilations ("gender affirming" mutilations). Check.
Cancel all student debt. Check.
Free education for all, from pre-K to college. Check.
Housing for all with universal rent control. Check and Check.
Racial reparations. Check. Green New Deal. Check. Abolish ICE. Check.
Defund the Department of War. Check.
Posturing towards Free Palestine, including legitimating actions like the terrorism of October 7th under the rubric "resisting occupation." Check.
Ending sanctions against Cuba & Iran. Check.
The positions above come directly from the DSA website. They aren't trying to hide. And 59% of registered Democrats support the party with that platform!

Gratuitous Pedantic Quibble:
The logo of the DSA is a red rose with two hands clasped in cooperation, not the hammer & sickle & stars & gear in the OP image.
It's a "kindler gentler" modification of the 1969 "Rose and Fist" logo of France's Parti socialiste and the 1979 Socialist International.
The logo in the OP image is more reminiscent of the "Wheat and Gear" logo of the Communist Party of Canada.

The GOP is also moving toward Socialism, the Democrats just had a head-start. We are all screwed.

"Moving towards"?
I think the move was pretty much made when the GOP nominated a New York City Democrat for president in 2016!

No, Democrats are anti-American communists!

Indeed.
Most of the official Democrat Party platform positions are not traditionally Socialist; land acknowledgements, transgender, gay, open borders, DEI, sanctuary cities, no IDs to vote, global warming, abortion, no investigations of fraud, and so forth. Several of the issues in the post above are not even Socialist; defunding the police, green new deal, reparations, etc.
Instead, however, all of the Democrat Party positions are consistently anti-American.
In practical terms that means our enemies have an incentive to fund Democrats.
