The "Trumpsters" have no more interest of being goaded into committing political suicide than their Republican (and certainly Democrat) predecessors.
But at least they've been busy turning off a whole bunch of taxpayer money Waste-Fraud-Abuse spigots that have been feeding the rent-seeking tapeworms in and around D.C. for decades, something that their aforementioned predecessors have never done.

You’d think it wouldn’t be that hard to get people on board with what needs to be done. The question would be, “Do you care that the money in your children’s and grandchildren’s pockets will soon be worth next to zero?” In other words, a “Let’s do it for the children” approach. All it takes is a leader.
People supposedly love their kids, so leverage that and guilt them into supporting real reforms. And cushion it with a guarantee that the cuts would be phased in so they wouldn’t even affect the geezers who might vote it down.

In other words, they are cowards. We need real leaders that can face this problem, not "democrat light."
I was excited by the supposed cuts by DOGE, too. But when the real cutting of the budget was to take place in the continuing resolution bill, the Republicans actually increased spending, rather than cutting anything. It renders the DOGE work completely useless. It is no wonder Elon Musk is retiring early from it.

Trump is the first politician in my life and probably since before FDR to actually do something about spending. And yet back benchers complain.
The biggest threat is communism. Then the debt. Fortunately Trump is addressing both. But it’s a free country if you still want to complain.

Like ‘abortion’ and ‘education’, I can’t find anything in the constitution about ‘healthcare’. And yet the Feds take a noteworthy chunk from my every paycheck with a promise to pay for my elderly health needs if I live long enough to qualify for a claim. Meanwhile Congress gets the US into deep debt distributing our money to pay for abortions in Asia, HIV treatments in Africa, and the development of extra deadly viruses in China. This can’t go on much longer, although I expect The People’s Republic of China to fail first.
