David French’s Nod Seals Kamala Win

David French has offered a deeply pathetic NeverTrump manifesto just in time for the election. It rehashes French’s ongoing themes of (a) his morality superiority (b) the irrelevance or nonexistence of perfidy on the left and (c) the betrayal of all Republicans and evangelicals who do not think exactly as he does. Nothing you did not already know about the Gospel of St. David. I read it so you don’t have to. You’re welcome.

The bottom line is that St. David forbids you from making the determination that whatever his past sexual indiscretions, unfortunate traits, and departures from GOP orthodoxy, it is a certainty that

(a)     A Trump administration is vastly more likely to appoint judges who will not help ideological leftists and the deep state undo the Constitutional order.

(b)    A Trump administration will not forbid men so-inclined to wear dresses or surgically mutilate themselves, but will not let government order us to pretend they are women, nor mutilate minors and nor impose that doctrine in every classroom.

(c)     A Trump administration will not open the borders with the cynical, illegal, traitorous intention of installing waves of dependent illegal voters to displace American voters while sending us the bill for the care of the invaders.

(d)    A Trump administration will not persist in the sick fantasy that deference and submission to Iranian mullahs is the key to world peace.

(e) A Trump administration gives us a fighting chance of stemming the debt, getting DEI out of the military, and defunding the woke assault on Western culture.

However, you may not think that way about any of that when you vote. David French’s loathing of Trump is the only issue.

David French says you are a hater, but openly sides with those who make no pretense about their contempt for you and your values and willingness to “cancel” you in any way they can. David French condemns the supposed falsities common in right-leaning media but has never had the moral fiber and consistency to condemn his current employer’s (NYT) dishonest handling of Hillary’s campaign dirty trick and the abuses of power in support of it, nor their deliberate deceptions regarding Hunter’s laptop, nor anything else—and there is a lot to choose from. Whereas you owe David a personal apology for not condemning any and every exaggeration or bombast by Trump or any spin on the FoxNews channel or RedState. He proudly mocks a Tennessee man for not being able to cite any particular NYT falsehood. Call on one of us Ricochetti next time, David.

The bottom line is that you failed to reject Trump when St. David told you to do so. Now you must suffer whatever depredations a hard-left corrupt, permanent state chooses to inflict on you as punishment. The end of religious freedom, parental rights, quality education without indoctrination, gun rights, economic liberty and energy sanity are the least sanctions you deserve for your sinfulness. And while all that happens, be sure not to hate your oppressors.

David French refuses to allow you to take into account the nature of Trump’s opponent. You must pretend that the sheer evil of Trump, or more accurately the David French declaration of that evil is the sole issue. The irony of the enormity of French’s ego as he condemns Trump’s unforgivable levels of self-regard is lost on him. He is a ridiculous man.

Perhaps if Republicans lost, the people would see how bad things would get under a Democrat regime and vote Republican in the next election. O, wait! Never mind.

That in a nutshell is the approach that the Left’s leaders are taking with regards to Kamala. That she is not Orange Man Bad.

Apparently that tactic doesn’t work. Over the last 18 months, major influencers Jordan Peterson and Russell Brand have finally woken up to who Donald Trump happens to be. Over the last 120 days, they have been joined by former liberal Naomi Wolf, former Dem Tulsi Gabbard and of course RFK Jr.

He said a few weeks ago that it is necessary to send a message to MAGA. The message is that he is a whining male “Karen”. What next? Will he stamp his foot and hold his breath until people vote his way?

You have to appreciate the (former) conservative NT’ers commitment to the NT cause.

They have banished themselves to the political talking head witness protection program to where no one even know they exist, holding onto the firm belief some day, at some point in time, Trump will absolutely, positively, reveal himself as the real Hitler even more Hitlery than the actual Hitler himself ….

Any how, the odds of these guys being right on the Trump Hitler thing … looking really bad (ie: worst career decision ever).

On the positive side, they are fairly bright people, they should be able to find some gainful employment in the coming booming Trump economy … So the political talking head prognosticator thing didn’t pan out … we’re still confident you will find a way to make a living.

The whole system is predicated on debt growth. They are in constant inflation (which they obviously don’t even come close to measuring right) to make this happen. You can’t do anything about the debt at this point. It’s just going to end up with 70s style inflation or something. Then they get the debt to GDP down to what it was 20 years ago and then we do it over.

David French is correct that he was wrong about Trump not being able to make it through the 2016 primary. (I was wrong, too. I remember marveling to a  friend about what depth the Republican primary bench provided, never mentioning Trump when I rattled off the prospects.)

David French is correct that the Republicans used to argue conservative ideas, but that they don’t anymore. Conservative does not equal Republican.

David French is correct that the same people in Christian circles who condemned Clinton’s character now stand up for Trump who has had character as execrable as Clinton’s.

David French is correct about the reflexive hatred that Dems have for the Repubs and Repubs have for the Dems.

David French is correct that Republicans distrust the main-stream media. I myself get an automatic retort from my very Republican friend when I point out an article in the New York Times: “What are you doing reading the New York Times?”

Missing from his editorial is the fact that Democrats use whatever weapon they have at hand: packing the Supreme Court; getting rid of the electoral college; using executive power to force things even when unconstitutional; calling Republicans, from Thomas Dewey to Donald Trump, fascists and Hitlerians (Truman cited Mussolini, Hitler, and Tojo in his screed against Dewey).

Missing from the editorial is what a nice guy Romney was and how he got stepped on again and again for being nice. Remember Biden’s “gonna put y’all back in chains”?

Republicans are tired of putting forth nice candidates, and who can blame them?

Yes, Donald Trump is morally worse than prior Democrats I declared as morally unfit for office.

Unfortunately, Democrats have insisted on nominating candidates like Joe Biden and Kamal Harris who have even greater moral reprehensibility than does Donald Trump – openly advocating for death, violence, and division, certain to create the circumstances of greater war and conflict around the world, and openly opposed to basic American concepts such as the rule of law and individual liberty. I might take the concerns about Donald Trump’s deficiencies more seriously if Democrats had not chosen to push candidates who are even more morally degenerate than Donald Trump.

Hitler had no history of sex scandals. I guess that’s why so many felt compelled to vote for him despite reservations.

Are we allowed to recall that Kamala was publicly seen in a sexual relationship with a powerful married man in order to launch her career and then she married a predator? Can we do a David French analysis on that?

If both candidates fail the French morality test, can we then look at how they are likely go address the important issues or is there a second French test? I assume that Trump flunks the real Republican test but Kamala never claimed to be a conservative so it is OK if she is not. #FrenchLogic

I also need to add that inflation is definitionally a misallocation of capital.

This is a really stupid system that should’ve been taken down or highly moderated. The second the Soviet Union fell..

I keep studying this stuff and I think the only reason you have an inflation system is because a) It’s the only way to be *MILITARISTIC  and we keep the trade routes open and b) having the reserve currency is a really messed up deal and we have to keep printing dollars. The whole world is so stupid and corrupt that it’s the best system, but it’s impossible to keep going for decade after decade. Everybody should be on the gold standard, but if you did that someone would use their central bank to push everybody around geopolitically.

I will take any of that back if somebody knows more about it.

    1. There can be only one ultimate evil (Trump).
    2. The ultimate, unforgivable sin of betraying conservative and evangelical values cannot be committed by someone who never believed or espoused them.
    3. In a weirdly analogous way to wokethink, French apparently believes only Christian conservatives (and Christian conservative-adjacents like conservative Jews or Republican agnostics) have moral agency in the same way the woke see only white people as having agency and power and thus only they can sin.  The Stalinists who want parents arrested for challenging school indoctrination practices don’t really know any better.  A conservative not shocked by Trump’s inherent badness has knowingly sinned.

I have responsibilities to my family and my Creator that preclude voting for the cow responsible for the FBI, CIA, DIA, and NSA surveilling my Sunday mass worship and SWATing and jailing my neighbors for protesting murder mills. This is not a narrow moral question requiring great intellect and discernment, and anyone saying it is is selling something. Something I do not want or need.
