CNN’s Dana Bash and the Oldest Profession

You can see it. Dana Bash struggled to ask questions she didn’t want to ask, because she knew that even the easiest question would tax the dim-witted woman Bash and her employer were committed to promoting. You could see the discomfort on her face. There may yet be a spark down there, deep inside, screaming at her betrayal of what she imagined her career would be.

Bash: How do you explain your apparent change of position on [name an issue; she’s changed them all]?

Harris: “My position/feelings/values have not changed,” despite her positions having changed completely on essentially everything.

I thought Dana Bash actually looked pained knowing that she was prostituting her professional reputation, whatever is left of it, in service to such a stunning mediocrity. No follow-ups, no “but you said” responses, nothing that would justify one calling oneself a journalist. No evidence at all that she wasn’t on the DNC payroll.

Did Bash think to herself, I am throwing away the dregs of my integrity for you, and I’m so much better than that? Or did she just smile, and think of CNN?

Keeping a woman of Harris’ resounding incompetence afloat must necessarily drown countless others. In some ways, the worst thing about this fraud of a campaign is that it demands so much from those who sacrifice their integrity in order to throw Harris the softballs that are absolutely essential to her survival — softballs that Harris nonetheless whiffs with embarrassing consistency, whiffs with the lack of self-awareness that only truly stupid people can pull off with confidence.

She is a joke of a candidate, a ludicrous mistake. Trump is a lot of things, but stupid is not one of them. Harris is stupid.

She could still win: Our press is that bad. But she will win only if the press drags her across the finish line, its collective hand placed firmly over her mouth, whispering, “Just shut up” every step of the way.

I don’t believe that is true. At some point the electorate will smell desperation, and then I think it’s over.

There are several moments during this debate prep (hardly an interview) which disqualify (or should) Harris from even consideration for the office. But first and foremost is that she just wasn’t prepared even for this minor league exercise. And the fact that both she and the counterfeit individual who accompanied her simply walked thru with directionless word salad speaks to your point about Ms Bash.

Worse – she doesn’t seem to think she should prepare. That’s also been reported as a problem with staff who prepped her prep that she wouldn’t be briefed on at all. She’s a dope’s dope. Truly dumb as an eggplant. Barbara Boxer Maxine Waters dumb.

Corporate media rarely follow up on a tough question with a democrat. They get to say, “Hey I asked the tough question” and then allow the candidate to skate away from it.

I’m really impressed at their ability to effectively insulate this clown car of a ticket from any semblance of reality.  It’s absolutely breathtaking .

I feel like I’m in some dystopian fiction where everything is an illusion.   And I really think they are going to get away with it.

    Big Mike.

Now that you mention “Big Mike,” I’m not going to address what was said, if anything, if you get my drift.  Rather I’m astonished at the amateurish staging.  I finally figured out that it was supposed to look like a little cafe.  It just screamed, “phony.”  That’s the background.  Then we come to that table with the three people sitting around it.  I haven’t heard how big “Big Mike” is, but I’ve noticed before how he towers over Harris when they’re walking onstage.  But that setup just made the two she/her’s look positively diminutive.  To make matters worse, he was sitting bolt upright, right up by the table, making the size difference even more pronounced.   Then Harris was slouching most of the time, so that she really appeared like a petulant little child.  Then the way she gazed up at Big Mike when he spoke made it look even worse.  The whole thing, never mind the words, screamed  “incompetence.”

Somehow I found myself on the Harris campaign / DNC mailing list.  I get, oh, probably half a dozen solicitations every day.  I always click on them because I love wasting their money.  The thing that amazes me is the number of typo’s, misspellings, etc.  The whole thing speaks of incompetence.

I pulled this link off the Instapundit website.  It originates from a source on Substack.com as far as I can tell. It a comprehensive review of developments  in the political world since 1990 and the introduction of the internet.

It is long but I think very worthwhile in explaining how and perhaps why traditional  elements of society like our federal government and national mass media accommodate puppets, sometimes referred to as ‘stupid’ people.  If I read it correctly it is saying the internet platforms are displacing international industrial businesses in influence and control so now we are witnessing the fruits of a conflict between what the people favor and what the state favors..

I am intrigued by what is written there because it tracks what I have experienced over this period.

Is Durov a New Assange? Or Is Musk the Next Durov? The Durov Affair reveals that society is shifting from “a revolt of the public” to a digital “big state.”

This has been said so many times that you know it’s true. They go to all of this trouble for her to read briefing books specifically made for her by all of these groups and people. The idea that she wants to be POTUS is dangerous in itself and it’s dangerously weird that she thinks like that. She was lucky to be senator.

She looked small and insignificant in the interview.  She projected no strength or integrity.

I believe her “my values haven’t changed” was a carefully prepared response equivalent to her cackling “It was a debate” riposte, meaning:  I am a hard core leftist;  leftists lie to get elected.  My values haven’t changed and I will govern as a hard core leftist.”

Her obvious weakness is a compelling arguments against her, to be used even with those who might ideologically agree with her. As she bumbles around in an interview with at least somewhat friendly and supportive U.S. media, imagine what she’d be like in a contentious meeting with a true adversary on the world stage.

She is clearly even weaker than Biden. We ended up with two (or three, depending on how you count the war against shipping in the Red Sea) wars while Biden has been president because of his weakness. We should expect more war activity with Harris as president.

I’ll keep harping on this until we have universal voter ID, no mail in voting, same day voting, paper ballots, and very limited absentee voting. Same day registration is at best problematic. If a true citizen can’t take the time to register, even if they “just moved”, do they really care about the integrity of their vote?

U.S. Elections Compare Poorly to Other Democracies, Research Shows (usnews.com)

As a Democratic Republic, our voting system needs to be as secure as our banking system,

Which is more important? That our elections are trusted, or that everyone, no matter how lazy or incompetent, gets to vote?

Yes, we have vast “election interference” that is documented from the Hunter Laptop, Lawfare (much more blatantly obvious against Trump), the bulk of the media being an extension of the Democrat Party, and Public Media being taxpayer funded government media, “Pravda”.

Some of that is unavoidable in a free society, but TRANSPARENCY of what information is being suppressed ought to be required.  Yes, Facebook is a private company, so is Boeing. Private companies are heavily regulated, false advertising is criminally prosecuted for example. We now have documentation that the Government DOES interfere with social media via measures like threats of removing Section 230 protection.

“We can’t do anything; it is up to the states”! (see voter protection act of 1965)

The problem is much larger than this. In the unlikely event that Trump wins, the integrity of the election will be immediately questioned by Democrats, and demonstrations that look more like BLM++ than J6 will flood the country. Denying Trump the presidency by any measure will be “the duty of every decent American”!

When he most likely loses, there will be a small number of ACTUALLY ” mostly peaceful demonstrations”, and if there is anything even marginally “threatening”, the people involved (and many who just are associated with those people) will be jailed with long sentences.

Posting “disinformation” questioning the integrity of the election and such will likely be criminal, as we are now seeing in the UK.

    Welcome to Kamalist America!

There’s a few honest things the Dems could have done the last few years instead of what they did. Biden should have been replaced when his diminished mental faculties were so blatant. Sure Kamala would become the incumbent, but maybe her incompetency would have been on display and the Dems would have held a full primary. Don’t attack Trump with lawfare and the Republican primary plays out differently. Lots of what-if scenarios but we’re here now.
