Rob and Peter talk every week about the need to attract more members. I found the site from a link from Steyn, and I also have been disappointed he has not been visible since. I love Ricochet and read it several times a day, but can you say Bait and Switch. perhaps a good tool to recruit more members would be a survey to learn how current members found the site to begin with, and to continue with what is most popular!

A question for Rob: toward the end of the podcast, you stated something to the affect that a Republican must run as a Centrist to win. What is your support for that position, considering the lack of success of Dole, George H.W., and McCain and the victories of identified conservatives Reagan and Bush ?

Is the issue about raising the debt ceiling or is it about negative ads? If it's about the later, I say let everyone bring it on! Whoever opposes Obama will have faced negative attack ads already, and he will be the stronger for it in the general election. Part of what we need to know about our nominee is how he can handle this kind of onslaught (i.e. Newt, not very well).

I agree with Peter's excitement about the articulate young group of Republican governors and legislators who are expressing the conservative message. My question to Peter: conceding that Obama gets practically all the time on the stage, nevertheless, are there any equivalent articulate,exciting, rising young Democrat stars that are apparent at this time?
