Midsomer Murders.

Read the old text, "Winning Though Intimidation". Develop a skillset.

While one might be tempted to act in a similar manner, try alternatives.

There are cell phone jammers available and can be worn and appear as the same device with a range of 150 ft. Just don't get arrested with one.

As for the face slapping thing, that's good for Assualt charges.

The substance of Obama's efforts in office is to protect his image only. For that is all that sells and he knows it all too well.

The man will never make any serious call for fear of "Getting anything on his shoes". If anyone here knows where that reference comes from.

Would like to live long enough to see how the sage compilers of history record these events. That's a slim chance.

Recall who these folks were ?

"Schild und Schwert der Partei" (Shield and Sword of the Party).

Think 1950, perhaps the IRS aspires to this end. A chilling thought.

The HRC is mild compared to the kangaroo multicultural courts of Sweden and Norway. As it goes, an ex-employee of the HRC has been found to have filed most of the complaints of which all are spurious.

The fella learned to work the system and make good money.

Look to the Pigford settlement program currently under way for starters here.

As it may be distastefull, simply place a Moratorium on future immigration for a period of time. Then put the system to task on sorting out and indentifying those that have ignored and are potentially dangerous or have cheated.

Sounds old fashioned, save it may prove to be the time to clean house.

As usual, well stated Dave. Back in the day, due to an underpowered truck, had to pull over the Grapevine at 9 mph. I felt like a doorstop.

Seems the Law of Unintended Consequences is lost on current rule makers. Then again, they can never be accused of being very bright in the overall. Keep on keepin' on as best you can.

I Spy. Great show for it's day.

Re: Xennady.

The dividing line lay with the FBI being able to take pro-active action in a manner that challenges legal conventions. There should be a "Somehow" approach that does not undermine the liberties and freedom of all.

The whole approach reminds one of how police address spousal abuse cases. They admit they cannot take action until the event occurs. Then it is far too late.

What kind of answer in "Proctection" can we accept or live with ?

Seems the term "Enemy Combatant" has become a  difficult definition to prosecute someone and too easy to speak to.

In this case as a citizen, could he be simply tried on the grounds of Treason or Sedition ? If so when did this last occur ?

wilber forge

In large part, the FBI was aware of the individual, yet could not prove anything "Actionable" on the person. Therefore, the FBI's hands were tied.

The simple question would be, as this fellow is a citizen, did he commit an act of Treason or engage in Seditious acts ?

Fold that into the summation. And how do we view these definitions today ?

As the the news coverage of the Boston shutdown is unfolding, there are visuals of police in black with APC's en masse about the city.

Brings to mind old films of occupied countries with curfews and nobody on the streets, save the government agents. Yes, an unpleasant visual.

DocJay: Wilber, the stuff is a protein that needs to be made from castor beans or oil. I'm not sure how the do it. It's a protein that if prepared correctly and inhaled, destroys ones ability to make proteins. You die in hours or a day. The ground beans or whole beans are frequently sent as a curse and are effectively like sending an empty shell casing. A threat but not one that could be construed as attempted anything. · 15 hours ago

It is a given that sending beans, ground or whole would be the same as a VooDoo curse. Refining the beans is just as hazarous to the maker as the target. Something best left alone.

DocJay: BTW, I'm curious if the dude sent ricin poison or just some ground castor beans which test positive for ricin but aren't deadly. He seems upset about some legal case down there and sent the same letters to a judge as well as the senator and the president. The actual ricin means attempted murder. The ground beans are not capable of killing but are often sent as threats(often whole beans). I knew someone who got such a letter once many years ago over a big bill. This is going to be unrelated to Boston. · 2 minutes ago

It is unlikely that anyone here is aware of what Ricin is or effecitive delivery of same. All so much hype.

wilber forge

So many knee jerk projections and posturing and so little facts as yet.

Rather dissapointing responses from do many supposedly intelligent  folks. Perhaps the question should begin with the fact that ricin is nasty stuff, not easy to obtain or make. Then ask, how is it the Feds were able to qualify this person so quickly ?

But that would be boring, No ?
