Tom Cotton, Impressive

I just saw a floor speech from Senator Cotton. I must say I am impressed. He called out Sen. Reid for the useless selfish rotting bag of bones that he is.

We could use more like him. Watch, it’s short but worth it.

    I really like this guy.

I wonder at the incompetence of the GOP to get a message like this out into the media mix.

Maybe Trump is right on a twitter campaign. At least it gets covered.

No votes are going to be swayed by CSPAN.

I am way past well spoken outrage.

I want character assassination with extreme prejudice. The other side has been playing that way for fifty years.

Isn’t this kind of thing routinely criticized as being just words?

If Boehner had talked like that he’d still be Speaker.

This is why Trump succeeds, he speaks out against his foes.  Problem is that his foes are whoever is in front of him this second and you never know who is next or what he will or won’t support.

But the willingness to fight is what people have liked.  I hope more republicans, if the party or the nation survive the next few years, learn to fight the evil in the democrat party.  I want Tom Cotton to lead that fight.

That’s a fair criticism and a good point.  But in this case, the bill passed. I have no idea whether that is a good thing or not.  If it was a 98-0 vote, I’m guessing it spread the lard around quite a bit.

John McCain is a war hero, but he is no less a political hack than Harry Reid.  McCain should be retired, along with Reid.

I think it is better than that. Too often republicans win the battle and then think it’s not worth quibbling over the words afterwards. Part of me gets that, we got what we want let them say whatever they want about it. But this is why we have gotten slaughtered on messaging for so long.

Cotton says no, we got what we want because it is right, and any muttering to the contrary is wrong. Not only did he act, but he’s not going to let you defame his act. Action and words.

Sen.Cotton seems to be a strong and forthright speaker, but what will he do if cancer becomes offended and demands an apology?

When did this happen?  Will there be repercussions on Sen. Cotton, or attempts at them, anyway.  Here’s hoping it goes viral.

Seem to remember a Senator who called out his own party leadership and was vilified for it.  We need to call anyone out that is part of this inside Washington festering wound…no matter what party they are in.  Talk the talk and then walk the walk…..

Just fantastic! I’m from Nevada, and I’m so OVER Harry Reid. Way to go Senator Cotton! “…bitter, vulgar, incoherent ramblings…” So awesome! I love the English language; it’s so precise.

I could have just clicked “like,” but that would have been inadequate.

Now that’s how you pick a fight.  As a junior Senator, he’s not in a position to shove the agenda up Harry Reid’s mail chute, but he’s laying down a pretty good marker.

And Tom Cotton will pick that marker up when we get there.

    SE,

After the sick machinations over the Iran Deal and Ben Rhodes revelation that the administration lied it all the way through, there are a great many people who owe Senator Tom Cotton a huge apology. The Senator stood against all of the lies and went down justly fighting the idiocy of the Iran Deal.

I think Harry Reed is getting just 1/100 of the contempt he deserves.

    Regards,

    Jim

I love it. Harry Reid happens to be a Mormon.  So am I and I’m embarrassed that he represents us.  Please don’t hold him as any kind of representation of what the LDS church stands for.
