Desecrating Body and Soul

Whenever I read about the mutilation of the human body by transgenders, or the contempt for the integrity of the body by others, as @rodin described in his latest post, I agonize over the disrespect we are witnessing for the sacredness of the human body. People think that they own their bodies, and like the remodel of a home, can change it in any way they wish. This perception completely contradicts my understanding of the human body, of my own body. As I said in my comment on rodin’s post, the kinds of destruction that people are committing to their own bodies can only be called a desecration: defilement and sacrilege against the body.

As people pursue these alterations, they must have no concept of the nature and qualities of the human body. But one Jewish writer explained:

Transgender Treatment Corrupted by Politics

After the Covid-19 disaster that resulted from the government’s lying about the facts—the specific information about the condition itself and the effectiveness of the vaccines—you would think the public would have learned to be more skeptical. Instead, much of our citizenry still believes the government’s propaganda, and the claim of “experts,” as evidenced by the number of people who still wear flimsy masks and insist on getting multiple vaccines (even after having contracted the disease). Due to our determination to trust our government, the trust of some people in ethically compromised experts is corrupting their clear thinking. And it is now showing up in the recruitment of transgenderism of children.

In the last couple of years, I’ve been following the progress of the gender affirming care establishment. Early on, I found many articles supporting it, but also testimonies about how hormonal treatments and gender surgery were unsafe and ineffective in relieving the distress of adolescent patients. Due to the veto of Gov. Mike DeWine against legislation that restricted gender affirming medical treatment last week, as well as banning transgender athletes from playing women’s high school and college sports (which I don’t address in this post), I thought it was time to find out the current status of this controversial treatment in the U.S.

Following in Dr. Mengele’s Footsteps

For me, the entire transgender situation has been a nightmare for this country, in particular its parents and children. I have written my share of stories about the unbelievable abuses and unethical activities that define transgenderism. But recently I watched a video produced by the Daily Wire, shared with us by @stevefast, and my outrage and disbelief reached a new high. I thought I had adjusted to dealing with the topic with some objectivity and thoughtfulness. But when I saw the video, What is a Women, something was triggered in me that I’d never experienced. After contemplating my reaction for a time, I identified the source of my reaction: what we were seeing was the same evil perpetrated by Dr. Josef Mengele and the Nazis.

Now you may say that my observation is hyperbole; after all, Dr. Mengele was a madman, and he conducted procedures and operations on unwilling victims. But when you look more closely at what he did, why he did it and the implications for us today, the results are disquieting, to say the least. These are the similarities:

Experimentation—Mengele was highly regarded in his field:

Dennis Kneale says the backlash against the “Transtifa” agenda has begun – and that’s a good thing. Plus: Will the Fed be stupid enough to ignore lower inflation just reported?

Our interview segment this week is with Atlanta-area radio host Alan Sanders on the Nashville protests, gun rights and just desserts.

Nation Is Transfixed As Intransigent Transgenders Seek To Transmogrify Everything

“Trans Visibility Day.”  “March for Queer and Trans Youth Autonomy.”  “Trans Day of Vengeance.”  “Trans rights, or else.”  Trans in your schools, trans in your government, trans in the corporations, trans in the military, trans in sports, trans in commercials, trans in the church, trans in the streets, trans taking over state capitols, trans in your face.  Trans, trans, trans!

Had enough?

Ricochet.com Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel is in for Jim. Today, Jon and Greg discuss the House Republicans passing legislation to encourage more domestic energy production. Plus, they note Majority Leader Steve Scalise calling out Biden for throwing up hurdles to domestic exploration while asking for help from nations that hate us. They also react to a Manhattan grand jury indicting President Trump over details concerning his payments to Stormy Daniels back in 2016. With even the Washington Post editorial board suggesting this is a bad idea, what will be the legal and political fallout now and down the road?  Finally, they react to reports saying that CBS News is now telling its reporters not to mention that the Nashville killer was transgender.

Join Jim and Greg as they applaud Alabama Sen. Katie Britt and her staff for discovering that U.S. Marshals were told not to arrest demonstrators outside the home of Supreme Court justices over last year’s leaked abortion ruling, even though they were clearly violating federal law. They also dive into the debate over whether the Nashville killer’s manifesto ought to be made public after the police say it will not be released while the investigation is active. What are the considerations for and against making it available? Finally, they sigh at another depressing poll, as Americans overwhelmingly think the federal government spends too much money but also strongly believe it spends too little on several key drivers of spending.

Join Jim and Greg as they devote today’s podcast to discussing the horrific mass shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, on Monday. The attack left three precious children dead, along with three adults who lost their lives trying to protect the kids. First, they honor the brave police officers who responded quickly to the crisis, immediately entered the school in an urgent search for the killer, and eliminated the threat within a few minutes without endangering anyone else. They also groan at news that the killer had detailed plans to attack three different locations and also texted a friend that she was going to die yesterday and that her death would be on the news. Finally, they fume as the media criticize police for referring to the killer as a woman (which is correct) instead of as a transgender man.

Please note: There is audio from the police bodycams of the moments when the killer was neutralized. That audio starts at the 2:24 mark. If you prefer not to hear it, you can skip to the 2:48 mark, when our conversation resumes.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the World Athletics Council for declaring that only biological women will be eligible for the Olympics and other elite track and field events. They also recoil at a new poll showing a sharp decline in Americans greatly valuing things like patriotism, religion, having children, and community involvement. Finally, they further expose the grifting frauds who claim to think President Trump is an existential threat to democracy itself but are doing everything they can to bury Ron DeSantis and make Trump the GOP nominee.

Another Insult to Women

Just when you think the acknowledgment of “transgender anything” can’t be any more inane, we have the 2023 Women of Courage Award. If I were any of the other women grouped with this man calling himself a woman, I’d be embarrassed and might be tempted to remove myself from consideration. Then again, most of the women from the brief description of their accomplishments deserved to have their work recognized.

Men do not.

Remember the good old days when AGP was just a video card? These days, AGP is Autogynephilia and unfortunately its not an affinity for pin up girls in hot rods. Its a psychological behavioral theory first identified by Dr Ray Blanchard: Blanchard presumed that heterosexual trans women (i.e., those who are exclusively attracted to men) […]

Transgenderism: The Parents

Over and over again, I’ve allowed myself to agonize over the information available on the state of transgenderism. Much of the focus is on the ways that children’s lives have been manipulated and destroyed, with some of their parents speaking of the difficulty of trying to understand their children’s predicament. In a one-hour documentary called “Dead Name” (referring to the given name that a child has rejected), the anguish, bewilderment, and horror of the parents of three children, two boys and one girl, is difficult to witness.

Originally the video appeared on Vimeo, but the site removed it: Here’s how they explained their action:

In a statement to The Federalist on Monday afternoon, Vimeo said the documentary violated the platform’s terms on ‘discriminatory or hateful’ material.

Suffer the Women

In the push for trans rights, inclusivity,  and tolerance, one group is expected to sacrifice and kowtow more than any other: biological women. Both straight and lesbian women — the language they use to identify themselves, their safe spaces, their dating preferences — are all under attack in ways we do not see happening to men.

This week, the Randolph High School girls’ volleyball team was punished for speaking out against a transgender student in their locker room. This student, who is unnamed, allegedly made inappropriate remarks to the girls as they were changing. When the girls spoke out, they were not only put under investigation for “harassment” (under Vermont law, a student can go into whatever bathroom/locker room that matches their “gender identity”) and the team was relegated to change privately in a single bathroom stall.

The Transgender Transmogrification of Everything, Including the Past

If I had a dollar for every article I’ve seen lately about the eye-popping excesses of transgender ideology, I could comfortably retire right now, even in this time of runaway, Biden-caused inflation.  I mean, really, just peruse the headlines on a conservative news website – come to think of it, include left-wing sites as well because they’re proud of what’s being done – and you will see things you simply can’t believe, particularly as it pertains to children.  It’s as if the powers-that-be are demonically possessed with the desire to surgically and chemically alter as many innocent children as they can get in their grasp while calling it “gender-affirming” healthcare.

Neither George Orwell nor any other great writer of dystopian literature could have ever dreamed up what has now become an actual reality.  I’ve said it before and it bears repeating:  There’s never been anything like this in the history of the world and it is pure evil on an unprecedented scale given that virtually every institution in the country is promoting it.

Child Abuse Sanctioned by the State—Until Now

The willingness of almost every segment of our society to abuse our children is mind-blowing. How is it possible that parents, the medical and psychiatric community, teachers, and legislators are prepared to destroy lives by promoting transgender treatments with little scientific data to support their efforts? Even as information emerges that their ideology is false and unethical, they persist in pursuing their goals. Fortunately, Gov. Ron DeSantis and his Surgeon General, Joseph Ladapo, refuse to comply with the demands of these ideologues. They are stopping the Medicaid funding for transgender procedures.

Recently a young 17-year-old woman named Chloe Cole spoke at a public hearing in Florida about her own disastrous experience:

‘I really didn’t understand all of the ramifications of any of the medical decisions that I was making,’ Chloe Cole, 17, said at a public hearing Friday. She said she was medically transitioned from ages 13 to 16, taking so-called puberty-blocking drugs and testosterone, and undergoing surgery to remove her breasts at age 15. ‘I was unknowingly physically cutting off my true self from my body, irreversibly and painfully.’

Scot Bertram of Hillsdale College and the “Political Beats” podcast is in for Jim. Scot and Greg break down a new poll showing Americans solidly opposed to biological males competing in women’s sports. They also chronicle the decision of Gannett and other newspaper publishers to scale back on opinion pages. And they hammer most of the media for ignoring violence against crisis pregnancy centers while CNN covers it disingenuously.

It’s Happening Under Our Noses

Meet Amy. Not her real name.

Amy had just turned 12 years of age. She seemed like a normal kid. She went to school, had friends, and made good grades. She resembles the friends your children hang around and maybe invite to your home after school to hang out.

Amy was being trafficked to her mom’s landlord – by her mom – for sexual favors in exchange for lower rent payments and a supply of alcohol and cigarettes. It began when Amy was around 8 or 9 years old.

New MI adjunct fellow Leor Sapir joins Brian Anderson to discuss the national debate over gender identity, the contradictions at the heart of transgender activism, and the reasons that America remains an outlier on the subject.
