As you all know dedicated Democrats have been going nuts in response to the surprise victory of Donald Trump. Instead of reflection and self analysis many have resorted to conspiracy theories and excuses for the humiliating loss of Hillary Clinton. There seems to be a rather obvious Democrat Party strategy of trying to make Trump an […]
Juan Cole — a left-wing professor and pundit known for his vituperative opposition to George W. Bush —– is rather skeptical about the Russian Hacker Conspiracy Theory the Democrats and their media allies are pushing as part of a strategy to delegitimize Donald Trump’s presidency. He sees in this strategy echoes of past propaganda efforts. […]
The Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity says the allegations of Russian hacking the election are baseless. Evidence points to an internal leak. Their logic is clear, their voice authoritative, and their motives are non-partisan – I consider the issue settled. Ignore the media and politicians. They have presented their opinion in an open letter from […]

The official position of the Democrat Party is that the Russian Government… possibly in collusion with the FBI… attempted to rig an American election through the dastardly tactic of… um… releasing emails where the Democrats exposed how they rigged their own primary and what they really thought of their voters. (Note, the Wikileaks people who actually […]
The effort to overturn the presidential election result has hit its stride. Christine Pelosi is leading the charge, although she claims to Neil Cavuto that she is simply trying to uncover the truth. Lest anyone be in doubt, a handful of liberal actors has assembled – as they have a tiresome habit of doing – to make a direct plea to the electors to change their votes. The impetus for all this, they claim, is that the election was “hacked” by the Russians. This line insinuates, without actually saying it, that voting machines were hacked. What was actually “hacked” was an email account, which everyone (including Donald Trump) knew was happening long before election day. What is forgotten by these crusaders for truth is that this is not the first time an election was “hacked.” It’s just the first time they decided to care about it.
In 2008, a Republican’s email was hacked, two months before the election. The target was Sarah Palin. She was not some campaign staffer or a party official, but the VP nominee. The perpetrator was David Kernell, the son of a Democratic state representative. Among other things, Kernell released Palin’s family photos, and the home addresses of some of her contacts. These are details more personal, and frankly more dangerous than anything the Russians were able to unearth in 2016. The information was later posted by WikiLeaks.
The press at the time had a lot to say about this incident, mostly taking the opportunity to criticize Palin for her use of a YAHOO email account. There was nothing damning, no backstabbing, so snide comments about her own voting base, although the press did note that Palin liked to type in all caps when she got excited. What is not found in any of the coverage by the Washington Post, The New York Times, and Slate, just to name a few, is any condemnation of the hacker. Nor is there any hand-wringing after the election about how this might have influenced the result.
Let’s say that the Russians are responsible for hacking and then disclosing the Podesta and Democratic Party e-mails. Lets’ admit, then there are weaknesses in e-mail systems that must be corrected. We should not be happy that the Russians can hack and do so and we should learn how they did it, and prevent future […]
President Barack Obama ordered a full-scale investigation of so called campaign-season cyber-attacks by the Russians for the purpose of creating doubt and confusion among the American voters, and questioning the safety of our election system as a result. News headlines state that not only has the CIA has found evidence of Russian tampering, through the […]
