Recommended by Ricochet Members Created with Sketch. A Quote from Rush, and a Never-Trumper Considers Voting for Trump

This is a scary quote from Rush’s show yesterday:

I think if the Democrats win, then it’s hello one-party rule, and it is one-party rule of a bunch of Marxists and Leninists and uber-left wing radicals who are not interested in a two-party system. They don’t believe in opposition. There is no legitimate opposition. Black Lives Matter operates that away. Antifa operates that way. The Democrat Party operates that way. There’s no reason to have debate. There’s no legitimate opposition.

Recommended by Ricochet Members Created with Sketch. Neil Peart, RIP

Neil Peart, drummer for the Canadian rock band Rush, died on January 7 from brain cancer. Saturday, the news caught up with us 50- and 60-something fans, as yet another hero from our youth passed on.

Peart was a drummer’s drummer, and people far more qualified than I will give him his appropriate tribute. I do have a couple of stories that reflect my own admiration for his skills.

In 2015 our family went to a St. Louis Cardinals game at Busch Stadium, against whom I forget. After the game, as we were walking to the parking garage, at the corner of Clark and 8th, there erupted a drum solo that drew hundreds of hearers. Someone had set up a kit, and was hammering away.

Going over Rush’s transcripts from yesterday’s show, Rush stated that the Mueller report does not exonerate Trump. Therefore, Rush and @fredcole are in agreement! In other news, the temperature in Hell is rapidly decreasing to 32 degrees Fahrenheit . . . Sort of. Rush says there is no evidence of collusion, obstruction, or any wrongdoing. […]

Rush will probably sue me for posting this transcript, but what the heck (from Rush 24/7): CALLER: Yeah, and I have some friends back there. People are apparently losing their minds right now in some of the predictable ways. But the question I wanted to ask you, Rush, is: Look, obviously this whole hearing is […]

The Drummer, the Private Eye, and Me (Rush Fans Take Note) The post on the main feed about driverless cars generated for some an evocation of a dystopian future where driving a car “manually” could become forbidden. For any fan of Rush (the power trio from the Great White North, not the talk radio-meister), this, […]

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America groan as Rush Limbaugh says Donald Trump’s trillion dollar infrastructure bill could be a big success – just like FDR. They also get a kick out of Democrats getting really excited over the prospect of a 78-year-old Joe Biden running for president in 2020. And Jim unloads on a “faithless elector” from Texas, who says he cannot cast a vote for Trump.

When I read/hear cultural whining from SJW folk about how terrible certain groups have it on a daily basis, I tend to roll my eyes. Their tales of daily woe and oppression always seem really overblown and over-the-top. In short, these stories tend be come across as ”too bad to be true”. Preview Open

Who here has Rush memberships? Or heard the show? I would like to talk about this. Especially if you know your Alinsky. You should be able to read a transcript here: http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2015/06/26/the_left_s_moral_relativism_has_eaten_our_culture_alive_and_conservatives_have_no_political_strategy_to_stop_it Preview Open

For those who may not have seen this, Rush Limbaugh’s speech (his “first address to the nation”) was a barn-burner. You would be hard-pressed to find a more cheerful, effective, electrifying speaker for the conservative family of causes. Preview Open
