More Corruption in the House of Representatives

Children in Gaza holding real gunsJust when we thought the anti-Semitic activities in the House of Representatives might be quieting down, Rashid Tlaib and Ilhan Omar have decided to push their hateful actions one step farther. Even worse, we are watching the House of Representatives being attacked from within, and no one is taking notice; the cries against anti-Semitism are pushing the questions about the integrity of the House into the background. These two issues arise due to Tlaib, Omar, and their fellow representative from Minnesota, Betty McCollum, who are co-sponsoring legislation that is filled with an abundance of false information directed—of course—against the state of Israel.

The story actually begins in 1979 with the creation of an organization called Defense for Children International; the Palestinian branch was founded in 1991 (DCI-P). This organization has extensive links to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. For those who may not know, PFLP is a well-known terrorist organization.

Fast forward to November 2017, when McCollum sponsored bill HR4391, which would prohibit “U.S. assistance to Israel from being used to support military detention, interrogation or ill-treatment of Palestinian children in violation of international humanitarian law.” It’s important to note that our federal law already prohibits providing funds to a foreign security force that commits gross human rights violations; clearly, Israel was being targeted in this new bill. Also, the bill did die in committee, but was re-introduced on April 30, 2019.

Squabble Over the Squad Gets Squalid

“Send her back, send her back, send her back!” the crowd thunderously chanted at a recent Trump rally.  They were referring, of course, to Rep. Ilhan Omar, originally from Somalia and one of the main, malcontented mean girls of what has been recently designated as the “Squad.”

One commentator compared the chanting to “two minutes of hate” from George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, the dystopian novel about a nightmarish authoritarian regime.  Seriously? Leftists, whose numbers terrifyingly continue to swell, have been hating on America every second of every day for the last fifty years or more. They hate America, they hate the Founding Fathers, they hate every facet of our history, they hate our customs, they hate Judeo-Christian religion, they hate Western civilization, they hate capitalism, they hate self-reliance, they hate beauty, they hate truth, they hate sexual and gender normalcy, they hate “whiteness” itself.

Baseless, Degrading, Unverified, and Quite Possibly True

A reporter asked President Trump, “if the administration was looking into possible immigration fraud committed by Ilhan Omar for possibly marrying her brother.”

Trump replied, “Well, there’s a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother. I know nothing about it, I hear she was married to her brother. You’re asking me a question about it. I don’t know, but I’m sure there’s somebody who will be looking at that.”

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America discuss polling revealing 51 percent of Americans support ICE deportation raids compared to just 35 percent who are opposed. They once again dive into the controversy involving Donald Trump, Ilhan Omar and theTrump rally chants of “send her back.” And they shake their heads as the Washington Post and The New York Times suggest the Apollo 11 moon landing was a giant leap for only white men.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America scrutinize Ilhan Omar’s call to impeach President Trump in the aftermath of his racially-charged Twitter tirade. They discuss Joe Biden recycling an old Obamacare sales pitch for his new healthcare reform plan. And they try to figure out why former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is considering a challenge to Trump in the 2020 Republican primary.

Omar’s Comments Need Context

Whenever you quote someone, it is important to provide context. For instance, assume someone says, “I wish Germany would have won.” Are they talking about a soccer game or World War II? Knowing that context matters.

Many Democrats are coming to the defense of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s recent comments by claiming she was taken out of context. So let’s look at the context on some of her recent comments.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud the Washington Post for calling out California Sen. Kamala Harris for her absurd contention that smaller tax refunds mean you’re paying more in taxes.  They also play the entire insane questioning of longtime foreign policy official Elliott Abrams by Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar and marvel at her ignorance of U.S. history and bizarre badgering of the witness.  And they get a kick both out of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell planning a floor vote on the Green New Deal and bill sponsor Ed Markey fuming that Republicans are going to hold a vote on his legislation.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America blast Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam for suggesting that all of Virginia was as behind on race relations as he is and that only he can heal the divisions there because he’s a doctor.  They also explain why Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar is morally and factually bankrupt for suggesting that the only reason many lawmakers support Israel is because they get money from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.  And they patiently try to tell 2020 presidential candidate and New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker that debating climate change is not the same as fighting the Nazis.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are back with another full serving of crazy martinis.  First, they question the motives and geometry skills of Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, who publicly insists that Lindsay Graham is somehow “compromised” because he’s become more supportive of President Trump.  They also dissect the bumbling scheme confessed by Michael Cohen, who says Trump directed him to pay thousands of dollars to rig online polls in 2014 and 2015.  And that’s just the beginning of the story.  Finally, Jim shares some lesser-known details and oddities from the career of former Vice President Joe Biden that he uncovered for his latest article.

Welcome to the new normal, America!  What’s it all about?  Well, it’s all part of the glorious “resistance” that began with the unexpected election of Donald Trump.  As you will recall, the election and subsequent coronation of Hillary Clinton was going to be little more than a formality for the leftward-marching nation, after which the […]
