Psst, Consumer, Wanna Buy Your AlieNation?

Like many Americans right of center, the ads I see online feature plenty of vaguely patriotic products. Some of the stuff’s campaign gear. Some of it’s randomly tacti-cool. (Already got a tactical pen? Have you tried our tactical toothbrush yet? Got the toothbrush already, have you? What about a tactical toothpick?) Perhaps because my browsing habits are eclectic, the ads “targeting” me are eclectic, too. According to my ads, I’m a Trump-voting, militantly pro-life charismatic sedevacantist Catholic wiccan secular humanist who’s also militantly pro-choice and pining for the deceased Ruth Bader Ginsberg. I’m deaf, too. Because of earwax. But at least I’m not alone in that: judging by consumer ad complaints, the main symptom of Covid-19 is massive earwax buildup.

People who say they know about these things say that Covid’s virtual earwax buildup is a symptom of declining click-throughs on online ads. The more time we spend online without clicking through on ads, the more “bottom feeder” ads we see. Maybe I am who I am to online marketers because I don’t click through. Therefore I must “want”, in no particular order, Osteen Cubes, <insert name of Biblical woman here> Anointings, conversational Medieval Latin kits, “homeopathic” essential-oil blends consecrated to Jesus or my choice of goddess. Little lapel pins featuring lab flasks bubbling vacuities like “Science is real!” or light-splitting prisms spelling out “I’m gay for science!” in rainbow writing.

Rapid-fire lapel pin advertising directed my way, whether from right or left, never hits its target, since even if I saw a pin I liked, I wouldn’t buy it. If I saw an ad for a lapel pin featuring the smexxxiest anthropomorphized doped garnet laser — adorned with real synthetic garnet chips reading “She blinded me with science!” — well, I’d chuckle. But I wouldn’t click.

Early Friday morning, President Trump tweeted that he and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19. Join Jim and Greg as they react to the news and wish the Trumps a speedy recovery.
They also discuss how this news will impact the remaining debates and the rest of the campaign.

RNC Night 2 Wrap-up

The Very Online Left is livid over Night Two of the Republican National Convention. Why? Trump pardoned a reformed ex-con and swore in several new immigrants. This is the pickle Democrats and the Media have gotten themselves into. Yet again.

The unhinged rage at everything this president does might earn them back-pats in their gated communities, but makes them look, well, unhinged to everyone else. The more they scream about a presidential pardon, average voters think ‘oh, that was cool to pardon a guy.’ By condemning a naturalization ceremony, they think, ‘I wish I would have seen that. Guess I should tune-in for Night Three.’

The left remains unable to pick their battles but treats every Trump utterance with sputtering denunciations and comparisons to Hitler. Trump rings a bell, the baying left drools. (At this point, if the President said Pavlov’s dog was cute, the media would claim puppy breath was a Kremlin-funded bioweapon.)

A Memorable Start to Memorial Day Weekend 2020

It was another week ending with beauties and beast-mode from the White House.

President Trump took a road trip beyond a military port, going to a Ford plant where they converted to ventilator production. The President had a great visit, no thanks to the incompetent fascist Democrat governor of Michigan. He did his usual best with a string of forgotten men and women proudly talking about their part in keeping Ford tough:

Beauty and Beast-Mode

Scanning YouTube yielded three starkly contrasting videos:

  • The First Lady extended Mother’s Day greetings and best wishes.
  • The Donald J. Trump official campaign rolled out a 30-second ad with over 30,000 views already, that the leftists controlling the metrics will admit.
  • Finally, my new favorite classical guitarist offered up another lovely garden session.

Best Cop, Bad Cop?

I personally love what President Trump is doing, in his daily exposure of the entirely corrupted professional media, which sold itself long ago to the secular left wing of the Democrats. Today’s briefing was one of the best, as he went all multi-media on them, making them look into the mirror as he showed the American public their hackery. At the same time, we got First Lady Melania Trump talking to children, urging them to listen to their parents and reading them a story. So, is this a bad cop, best cop act? What do you think of this team?

Namaste Trump

The Indian answer to Houston’s “Howdy Modi” was “Namaste Trump.” The event was held in what a sign said was the world’s largest cricket stadium, with over 100,000 capacity. Prime Minister Modi greeted President Trump on stage, the two hugging.

After the playing of the American national anthem, PM Modi showed President Trump and First Lady Melania to two chairs, where they sat while he gave a brief introductory speech. President Trump then gave an excellent speech, about 30 minutes, praising his host and the Indian nation’s rapid advance on important metrics like extreme poverty. He emphasized that the Indian people were successfully advancing while a democracy, making this basic point several times without calling out China by name.

This Is How You Start a Presidential Race

President Trump brought The Beast and Air Force One to Daytona Motor Speedway Sunday. Notice that NASCAR knows its customers and is not going to alienate them. So, NASCAR invited the president to be their grand marshal for the opening race of the 2020 season, the Daytona 500.

President Trump did a fly-by with Air Force One as the crowd waited for the beginning of the big race on Sunday, then rolled into the race track with his motorcade, stepping out of The Beast to greet the crowd and start the race, He and First Lady Melania Trump led the first warm-up lap in the presidential vehicle. The race was soon shut down, as a rainstorm came in, and will end up being run on Monday, Presidents Day.

After meeting people at the speedway and delivering brief remarks, Trump kicked off the race by announcing to the drivers: “Gentlemen, start your engines!”

President Trump, alongside First Lady Melania Trump, offered Americans Christmas greetings on Christmas Day. Their message was largely the same as last year’s, a reassuring bit of continuity in a tumultuous time. While different in style and some substance from Prime Minister Johnson’s Christmas message, the Trumps hit several of the same themes: a Christian […]

Real World Class Athletes Celebrated in Oval Office

President Trump welcomes Special OlympiansOn Thursday, July 18, President Trump welcomed America’s team of world-class athletes to the White House, celebrating their accomplishments. No, it wasn’t the pack of subsidized spoiled soccer brats who showed their contempt for our flag, our Constitution, and all Americans who dared disagree with their Lexus Leftism.

It was the true winners in life of our Special Olympics team, who were being honored, showcased in the most powerful office in the world, the Oval Office.

Memory and Forgetfulness: Part 3

The Normandy D-Day Ceremony at the Normandy American Cemetery was absolutely first class. The staging, audio and video production were excellent. Both presidents gave exceptional addresses. While each reflected their own nation’s character and perception of the good, they both kept the focus on the surviving veterans, there with them, and those who have long laid to rest in this consecrated ground. Warning: this is at least a two hanky event.

The ITV YouTube channel carried the Normandy American Cemetery ceremony, with President Trump and President Macron. President Macron helicoptered in just before the ceremony started, as he had started the day in the British beach sector with Prime Minister May, and with representatives of the British royal family at a church service. He, and the French people, did a fine job as grateful hosts. Don’t miss the WWII cargo aircraft formations towards the end of the American ceremony, with the two presidents and their wives side-by-side looking out over the beach to the sea. That rumble is the sound of liberty.

Melania Trump: Guilty by Association

She was an immigrant to the United States, an independent woman who began her modeling career at five years old, and was a successful model who spoke five languages: Slovene, English, French, Serbian and German. She moved to the US in 1996, and became a permanent resident in 2001 and a US citizen in 2006.

Her name is Melania Trump. And the mainstream media has tried to make her life hell.

It’s hard enough to be the First Lady of the United States: that woman has to assume that she will often be in the spotlight. But when you are married to a president who is despised and criticized, you are a target for everything you say and do. It doesn’t matter if you are a woman, an immigrant, and independent—all qualities that the Left supposedly admires.

First Lady Melania Trump has championed cyber-bullying as a cause, but Hoover visiting fellow Markos Kounalakis thinks she should broaden her horizons – to include a little diplomacy in her native Central Europe. It’s a portion of the world that’s drifted into angry nationalism, economic uncertainty and civil unrest, with one country (Poland) displaying troubling anti-Semitic tendencies. Kounalakis talks about all of that, plus he discusses Vladimir Putin’s Russia playing a meddling role around the world.

Meryl Streep: Moral Coward

In a puff piece promoting their new film, the New York Times interviewed screen legends Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. Since the latter has spent most of her career pushing progressive politics and positively gushing about disgraced movie exec Harvey Weinstein, the interviewer (shown in bold type) asked why she’s been so quiet about the #MeToo movement.

I’ve got to shift conversation to the news these days, sexual harassment. One thing that struck me after the  accusations broke was people were saying, “What is Meryl going to say?” They were waiting for you.

STREEP I know. I found out about this on a Friday and went home deep into my own life. And then somebody told me that on “Morning Joe” they were screaming that I haven’t responded yet. I don’t have a Twitter thing or – handle, whatever. And I don’t have Facebook. I really had to think. Because it really underlined my own sense of cluelessness, and also how evil, deeply evil, and duplicitous, a person he was, yet such a champion of really great work.

Reading the New York Post this morning, I enjoyed this article about Mrs. Trump making a stop on her way home from Asia in Alaska, where she visited with children and families at a pre-school and community center at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage. She’s so stylish and lovely. I’m so glad she is the person married […]

As they celebrate seven years of the Three Martini Lunch, Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America also applaud Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley for requesting testimony from the FBI informant behind the explosive reports of Russians engaging in bribes, kickbacks, and Clinton Foundation donations in order to get Hillary Clinton’s help in steering 20 percent of U.S. uranium to Russia.  They also wonder just how deep the unmasking scandal goes, as former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power says she had nothing to do with the vast majority of the 260 unmasking requests done in her name.  And they have fun with the absurd but viral contention among liberals on social media that someone else was pretending to be First Lady Melania Trump during a recent appearance with the president.
