In “The Power of Social Media,” Dr. Batiste pointed out the power imbalance in what Al Gorythm chooses to make viral and what he suppresses. AND. The Idaho law enforcement officer who dared gently mock the moral midget who styles himself “King James,” a king who has loudly displayed his fealty to his true liege […]

Whistleblower Unmasked: Cousin Itt

My world-renowned phrenologist, Dr. Hans O’Cranium, and I were in DC this week and inadvertently learned the identity of the heretofore unnamed whistleblower in the Trump impeachment inquiry: Cousin Itt, Gomez’s hairy cousin from The Addams Family.

Hans and I were on Capitol Hill to testify on the correlation of skull topography to the tendency of poorly educated pro athletes to make uninformed comments about complex geopolitical matters such as freedom of speech and trade with Red China.

Jim Geraghty is back and firing on all cylinders for three big stories today!  First, he and Greg poster dunk on LeBron James for calling Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey “uneducated” for his tweet urging people to stand up for freedom in Hong Kong and suggesting such speech can be very harmful – to the Chinese government and NBA profits apparently.  In complete contrast to LeBron’s cowardice, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes is loudly applauded for hammering his own employer for following the path of least resistance in spiking Ronan Farrow’s story on Harvey Weinstein.  And they roll eyes before ripping Tom Steyer for telling supporters a win for the Democrats in 2020 means the end of the Republican Party forever and a Republican win “literally” means the end of the world.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America commend the Trump administration for reinstating sanctions on Iran after rescinding the failed nuclear deal, which the rogue regime did not follow. They also denounce Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth’s Warren’s far-left rhetoric about the criminal justice system and they blame the divisive discourse for the lack of meaningful reforms. And they are frustrated that President Donald Trump tweeted about LeBron James’ intelligence rather than thanking the NBA star for funding education and extolling the benefits of charter schools.

LeBron James and I have something in common – we are both native Ohioans. We live within 30 minutes of each other. I will always celebrate and thank him for bringing NE OH the 2016 NBA championship, but he’s left us again and is moving to LA. But there is a silver lining to this […]

Please check out Episode 45 of Thinking It Through with Jerome Danner.  I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. @derryckgreen about an old piece that he wrote –> http://ricochet.com/434674/lebron-james-racism-and-a-missed-opportunity/.  It dealt with LeBron James’ response to a racial epithet being spray-painted on the gate of his LA home. We had a wonderful conversation and […]

LeBron James, Racism, and a Missed Opportunity

Speaking to reporters on the eve of the NBA Finals, LeBron James soberly addressed what many blacks believe is the ongoing presence of racism in American culture.

The reason James was discussing racism instead of the upcoming series against the Golden State Warriors? Someone spray-painted a racial epithet — the racial epithet — on the security gate in front of James’ Los Angeles residence.

Coincidentally, the incident involving James happened the same day a noose was reportedly found at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington DC. According to a US Park Police account, tourists discovered the noose inside the museum’s Segregation Gallery, Wednesday afternoon.

Sports in America is often considered one of our last great meritocracies. Perform well on the field, the diamond, the court, ring, or rink, and you’ll be rewarded. Anyone who has spent any time invested in team sport knows that isn’t necessarily true. In team sports, there are so many variables; so may rolls of […]
