Kamala Harris Explains World War II To Canadian Parliament

World War Two was… a war, right? (Cackle.) On one side was England, the United States and Russia. Only then Russia was called the “Soviet Union.”  On the other side was Germany and Japan. Oh, and Italy (cackle). Love Italian food. Love it. (Cackle.) Anyway, some countries like Ukraine were caught in the middle. Some Ukrainians sided with Russia and some Ukrainians sided with Germany. The Russians were communists and the Germans were fascists (cackle). So it was sort of like choosing between fat or carbs, amirite? (Cackle.)

So anyway, we, in partnership with Canada, took the side of fat. I mean carbs! No wait… I’m getting my analogy all mixed up here! (Cackle).

Anyway, after the war, lots of people were displaced. All mixed up like a salad, okay? Some Germans moved to Argentina. That’s in South America. And some Ukrainians moved to Canada. Canada is your country that I’m talking to now that has healthcare. So continuing with this theme, some of the people who moved to Argentina did very bad things during the war: that’s why they were in Argentina. Kind of laying low. (Cackle.) And some of the people who moved to Canada did bad things during the war, too. Some of the people who moved to Canada had helped the people who had moved to Argentina.

Join Jim and Greg as they appreciate the National Transportation Safety Board explanation of what really led to the train derailment in Ohio – an ignored warning on an overheated axle and not some left-wing fiction about reckless deregulation. Plus, they discuss what this means for Buttigieg’s political future and how President Biden may have stumbled into a stroke of political genius. They also wince at the latest consumer expenditure numbers suggesting inflation may be stubbornly high for quite a bit longer. And they get a kick out of the news that Marianne Williamson plans to enter the Democratic presidential field, but also wonder whether more prominent figures on the left will follow her lead.

Dems Are Successfully Executing a Long-Range Strategy on the Border

Central American refugees board a truck in Ciudad Hidalgo, Mexico, on their way to the US border.

Pundits commonly depict the ongoing calamity at our border as the result of Biden administration incompetence. As with inflation, urban crime, and the deficit, their near-complete lack of insight and management skills is leading us over a cliff.

But this analysis itself is a major error. They know exactly what they are doing and they are doing it well. They are executing a long-range plan that is achieving great success.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up one good martini and two crazy ones. After sharing their reflections on 21 years since the 9/11 attacks, they welcome the news that the Ukrainian counteroffensive is shoving Russian forces way back – in some cases all the way back to Russia. But Jim warns of a dark possibility after this good news. They also unload on Vice President Kamala Harris telling Chuck Todd on “Meet the Press” that the border is secure because the administration wants it to be secure – and that any problems are due to the Trump administration. Finally, they slam the door on the ludicrous argument of Democrats and other lefties that the January 6th riots were comparable to the 9/11 attacks or even worse.

Abortion, Slavery – Who’s Claiming Ownership Over Human Bodies?

I don’t pay much attention to what Vice President Kamala Harris says because so little of what she says makes sense. So, I’m late to hearing about her speech to an NAACP conference in which she compared restrictions on abortion to historical American slavery.

VP Harris: “We know, NAACP, that our country has a history of claiming ownership over human bodies.” She then referenced “extremists” seeking to criminalize abortion, apparently trying to say that people seeking to restrict abortion are claiming ownership over women’s bodies.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the Supreme Court decision declaring that bureaucratic agencies like the EPA don’t have the power to make sweeping policy changes – that power belongs to Congress alone. They also slam President Biden and other Democrats for pushing limited suspension of the filibuster to pass legislation to codify Roe v. Wade and pass the left’s attempt to federalize elections. And they have some fun with Vice President Kamala Harris insisting Biden will run again in 2024 with her as his running mate and then later saying he intends to run

Join Jim and Greg as they are encouraged that early voting numbers are up but mail-in ballots are down, meaning election results are likely to be more secure. They also discuss the horrific, racially-motivated mass shooting in Buffalo, how the shooter had once again been on the radar, and how the effort to turn the tragedy into political advantage was immediate once again. And they have fun with Vice President Kamala Harris once again getting stuck on a talking point she struggled to get out of.

The question was first raised in 2015, if not before. Could then-President Barack Obama, having been elected twice, run as then-Vice President and putative Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s running mate? Betting sites focused on the 2020 election gave it 2 percent odds. And those same sites are taking bets for 2024. Preview Open

The Problem of ‘Tokenism’

“Tokenism” is the practice of choosing people for roles based on superficial qualities rather than intrinsic worthiness for the positions. Because it prioritizes identity over merit, it risks placing less qualified, underperforming individuals in positions of responsibility.

We have a particularly glaring example of tokenism in our current Vice President, Kamala Harris.

Join Jim and Greg as they dissect the stunningly horrible poll numbers for President Biden in a new poll both on key issues and his overall performance. They also shake their heads as the backlog of cargo ships off America’s west coast gets worse and worse. And they are flabbergasted as just how bad Vice President Kamala Harris is at the simplest parts of her job, like answering basic questions.

Saying the Quiet Part Out Loud: Pelosi on J6

One of the emerging traits of growing older (I’m 65) is blunt honesty. Our guard goes down with age as we become less concerned about what others around us may think. We blurt unvarnished truths and observations, often impulsively and increasingly inure to their consequences.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has graced the lower House chamber since 1987 and as its leading Democratic official since 2003, will turn 82 on March 26th. And during a solemn January 6th commemorative event in the Capitol, she said the quiet part about the festivities out loud.

Polls show that Americans are increasingly souring on Biden’s “Build Back Better” (Build Back Broke) $5 trillion massive spending boondoggle. That figure comes from the non-partisan analysts at the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) who were asked to factor in its costs over a full 10-year period. It is based on the bill the full US […]

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss CNN finally making the obvious decision of firing Chris Cuomo. They also dissect a Washington post story quoting ex-Kamala Harris staffers who offer brutal assessments of her temperament and her work ethic. They roll their eyes as Jen Psaki blames rampant urban looting on COVID. And they remember longtime Kansas Sen. Bob Dole as well as his three runs for the White House.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three good martinis. First, they applaud incoming New York City Mayor Eric Adams for rejecting threats from Black Lives Matter and vowing to restore law and order to the city.  They also issue a very rare good martini to President Biden for placing a diplomatic boycott on the Winter Olympics in China early next year. And they pop a lot of popcorn as former staffers of Vice President Kamala Harris vent her frustrations to CNN that she is getting lousy assignments from President Biden and that the administration refuses to defend her as vigorously as it sticks up for Pete Buttigieg.

Having spent a quarter-century working in, or with, dozens of congressional campaigns, I consider myself pretty plugged in and reasonably well connected in politics. But even I was surprised on Tuesday morning while listening to the first hour of the estimable Hugh Hewitt’s national radio show. The Democratic candidate for Governor of Virginia, Terry “The […]

WH Asks Hillary Staffers How to Make Kamala More Likable

Vice President Kamala Harris is the best-positioned politician in the country. After six years as California Attorney General and just four as U.S. senator, the 56-year-old was catapulted to the number two position in government. She’s a heartbeat away from the presidency, understudying for a doddering septuagenarian who may not have a lot of heartbeats left in him.

Yet, she has a serious image problem. Voters find her cold and unlikable. She couldn’t get Democrat support for her presidential run, dropping out before voting began. Her current polling is underwater, with 45% approval and 48% disapproval — the lowest numbers for any VP since Spiro Agnew. 2024 looms and she needs to right the ship, pronto.

Time for a political PR supergroup to combine forces; gurus of spin with decades of experience making brittle politicians seem warm and approachable.
