Jim Geraghty of National Review and guest host Greg Knapp criticize Nike’s decision to yank Betsy Ross themed sneakers over objections from Colin Kaepernick. They discuss the dilemma facing Democrats with multiple candidates polling less than 1%. And they talk about Joe Biden’s most recent gaffe concerning gay waiters. (Greg is a Speaker, Coach, and […]

The only good thing to come out of Kaepernick’s antics is not only the outrage at him, but the outswelling of patriotic responses – like this song (grab a hanky): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPNnsi2dJIQ&feature More

Trump and the SOBs

Welcome the to the HLC podcast for September 26, 2017; It’s the Trump and the SOBs edition of the podcast with your hosts, Hartford radio talk show host Todd Feinburg and Boston nanophysicist Mike Stopa. This week we will discuss the NFL protest of, um, of, oppression of African Americans in our society. Right? That’s what it is all about, right? That’s what Colin Kaepernick said at the beginning of all this…right?

So here’s the deal. Trump is at a rally. He is meandering as is his wont. He says that he doesn’t like those NFL prima donnas kneeling and disrespecting the National Anthem and he thinks the NFL owners should fire the SOBs who do. He say what tens of millions of Americans in homes and bars across America have said in exactly the language in which they have said it. And the media – per usual – goes ballistic. Because, they didn’t know that millions and millions of Americans think just that? Or they thought that here is another chance to slap down the idiots who hold the popular sentiment on this matter?

(I thought I would repost my article from September 9 since the topic has recently become so huge.) To all those who find comfort in the largest Republican majorities in American government at the national and state levels since the 1920s – you probably shouldn’t. That’s because the insane dismantling of America and Western Civilization […]

David Spady on LA, Stupid People, DACA, and the NFL

David SpadyDavid Spady returns to Whiskey Politics where we discuss if Los Angeles and California can afford the Olympics, the national debt just hit $20 trillion and all we got was this lousy t-shirt (what the heck are Republicans doing to reduce the debt?), Annenberg’s study showing just how stupid people really are, Trump, Pelosi, and Schumer, DACA, and tax reform. Will Trump get a bad deal, and is the Kaepernick effect causing lower ratings and empty stadiums?

David, who has 25 years of experience in media and political consulting, is the California state director of Americans for Prosperity. He also serves as government affairs adviser for Salem Media Group and provides strategic guidance to more than 35 radio talk shows including Larry Elder, Michael Medved, Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager, and others. Spady is a columnist for Townhall.com and produced a weekly video series called “Common Sense with David Spady.” He has appeared on numerous television news broadcasts, and his columns have been published in the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times and the Sacramento Bee, among others.

FBI Nabs Threat Suspect, Kaepernick’s Change of Heart, Bad Guy in the Bayou

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud the FBI for arresting a man in connection to threats made against Jewish Community Centers and other institutions, and the suspect might surprise you. They also get a kick out of Colin Kaepernick suddenly ending his national protests now that he needs a job. And they unload on Rep. Cedric Richmond for his horrible comments about KellyAnne Conway and for stating that Trump is not his president.

Ginsburg Calls Anthem Protests ‘Dumb,’ Dems Squirming Over Wikileaks, Beck & Hillary

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg for calling athlete protests of the national anthem “dumb,” “stupid,” “disrespectful,” and “arrogant.” They also enjoy watching Democrats squirm over Wikileaks revelations, including DNC official Donna Brazile getting caught helping Hillary Clinton against Bernie Sanders and a top Clinton Foundation official calling Chelsea Clinton a “spoiled brat.” And they sigh as Glenn Beck reveals that he considered voting for Clinton before ultimately deciding against it.
