My letter to my Senator was prompted by a great article this morning in American Greatness by Julie Kelly, who has been doing some of the best reporting —- actual journalism, an endangered species if ever there was one— on the January 6 “armed” “insurrection” at the Capitol (the first one in history in which not a single firearm was discovered) and specifically about the glaring double standard of the Harris-Jarrett-Rice “Administration” of these citizens as compared with the real criminals of the Summer 2020 “peaceful” protests. In her article, entitled “Justice Department Administers Unequal Justice, GOP Pen a Letter”, she notes that five Senators, including one of my own, Rick Scott, asked questions about the glaringly unequal treatment involved in the Jan. 6 cases:
Senators Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Rick Scott (R-Fla.) and Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) asked Garland to explain the “potential unequal justice administered in response to other recent instances of mass unrest, destruction, and loss of life throughout the United States.”
