Join Jim and Greg for four big stories today! After a classic Jim rant on young people being offended by text messages with periods, they applaud the first night of the Republican National Convention and explain why they believe it was so effective. They also chronicle the epic fall of Jerry Falwell, Jr. and the lessons from this sordid saga. And they hammer House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for calling Republicans “domestic enemies” and “enemies of the state.”

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America cheer new poll numbers showing Americans overwhelming reject the idea of felons voting from behind bars, an idea promoted by Sen. Bernie Sanders.  They also shudder at reports – apparently from Michael Cohen – that Cohen helped Liberty University President Jerry Falwell, Jr. squash the possible release of highly embarrassing photos, and that eventually triggered Falwell’s endorsement of Trump in early 2016.  And Jim unleashes a terrific rant in response to the pro-choice CNN guest who says a pregnant woman does not have a human being inside of her.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America react to Liberty University students denouncing Jerry Falwell, Jr. for making the school synonymous with Donald Trump.  They also discuss reports of Trump pulling mostly or entirely out of Virginia, making his road to victory more difficult.  They have fun with the Clinton team’s contradictory explanations for all the embarrassing emails coming out from Wikileaks.  And they they note Bob Dylan’s winning of the Nobel Prize for Literature.
