Join Jim and Greg as they cheer Iowa becoming the latest state to pass sweeping school choice legislation which gives parents more options on where and how to educate their kids and creates more competition for our schools. They also groan as New York City Mayor Eric Adams complains about the burden placed on his city to deal with the flood of people who entered the nation illegally. The buses from red state governors are a drop in the bucket compared to the numbers of migrants being shuttled all over the nation by the federal government. They also react to Rep. Adam Schiff’s TikTok video complaining about his ouster from the House Intelligence Committee, which he immediately turned into a fundraising pitch just in time for his new campaign for the U.S. Senate.  And Jim reacts to the speculation that Aaron Rodgers could be headed to the New York Jets.

A Letter to the NYC Mayor

To the Honorable Eric Adams, Mayor of New York City

Mr. Mayor,
My apologies for sending this to you so late, but congratulations on becoming Mayor of New York. This is quite an accomplishment and I commend you. I sincerely hope that you are more successful than your predecessor, although I think you and I would both agree that he set established the world’s lowest bar for mayors. Just getting through your first term without killing a groundhog will probably do it.

Former NYPD intelligence analyst and Manhattan Institute director of policing and public safety Hannah Meyers joins Brian Anderson to discuss last week’s subway attack in New York City, the intersection of homelessness, transit crime, and mental illness, and Eric Adams’s efforts to bring down crime in Gotham.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three good martinis. First, they applaud incoming New York City Mayor Eric Adams for rejecting threats from Black Lives Matter and vowing to restore law and order to the city.  They also issue a very rare good martini to President Biden for placing a diplomatic boycott on the Winter Olympics in China early next year. And they pop a lot of popcorn as former staffers of Vice President Kamala Harris vent her frustrations to CNN that she is getting lousy assignments from President Biden and that the administration refuses to defend her as vigorously as it sticks up for Pete Buttigieg.

Nicole Gelinas joins Brian Anderson to discuss the state of the New York City mayoral election, the results of down-ballot races, and what the next mayor must do to be successful.
