Brett Kavanaugh…on the whole, he’s a pretty unobjectionable, milquetoast character that should be the best-case scenario judge for Progressives who literally have no power over the Supreme Court nomination process at this time. Yet…and hold tight because this sentence is a statement and a half unto itself…Dianne Feinstein has chosen to eleventh-hour grandstand with an […]

Promoted from the Ricochet Member Feed by Editors Created with Sketch. The Deep Trump Podcast

Welcome to the Harvard Lunch Club Political Podcast for September 11, 2018 – number 191!!! – it is the Deep Trump edition of the show with your fathomless hosts radio guy Todd Feinburg and AI guy Mike Stopa. This week we analyze Bob Woodward – the everything-gate guy – and his latest book (but we didn’t read it) “Fear: Trump in the White House.” Is there seriously anything here deserving of even a little media hysteria? That’s what Bob’s publisher would like to think. We will analyze. And then- back from the grave it’s Jason,…,no. not Jason. It’s Barack the O-man! He is flaunting tradition in this time of deepest traditionalism. He is back on the campaign trail. Is anyone listening? He uses his searing intellect and historical insight to cast the current political landscapesain pnv=v.zzzzzzzzz. Oops. Sorry about that.

Well, Obama’s back. Let’s hope at least Michelle can stay awake.

First Primary Election Results | Blog for ArizonaPresident Trump, and the Republican Party, had another good primary election day on Tuesday, August 28. He selectively weighed in with endorsement tweets the day before the official voting day, an act that still matters in states that have not made the terrible decision to go all mail-in ballot. What follows are observations made Monday, followed by comments on the results.

Contributor Post Created with Sketch. Loose Cannons and Nuclear Buttons: Dealing with Russia

Every time I see “statesmen” foaming at the mouth about insufficient posturing against Russia, I go back to the basics. There are exactly two countries on this planet capable of reducing any country on the face of the earth to toxic, smoldering ruins in hours. These are the United States of America and the Russian Federation (the latest manifestation of the Russian empire).

President Trump has done an admirable job, like most presidents in the Atomic Age, of keeping the natural tensions between the two megadeath powers inside the safety limits. He has succeeded, so far, despite the worst efforts of his domestic enemies, who are more serious about destroying him than they are about national security.

The day after Memorial Day, we learned that Missouri Governor Eric Greitens has stepped down “[a]fter months fighting a growing sex and corruption scandal, and his own party leaders calling for his resignation.” This news, and the reporting around it, should be treated with some skepticism. As a reminder, Senator Ted Stevens was falsely prosecuted and convicted, with Senator McCain and Governor Palin demanding his resignation, a week before the 2008 election.

Senator Stevens was prosecuted, by career prosecutors, during President George W. Bush’s administration. After the politically useful damage had been done, replacing a senior Republican Senator with a junior Democrat, Judge Emmet G. Sullivan not only overturned the conviction, but also took the extraordinary step of ordering the federal prosecutors, involved in the case, be investigated.

The latest mass murderer, targeting high school students, deviated from the streak of successful attacks over the past year in a way that fully exposes the Democrats’ true agenda: negating the right of self-defense against crime and tyranny. Leftist Democrats leveraged the last year, of killers using modern weapons, attacking the Constitution in the name […]
