David French of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America discuss former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile’s revelations that Hillary Clinton funded and controlled virtually every aspect of the 2016 Democratic primaries, concluding that the system was rigged against Bernie Sanders. They also pop some popcorn after Virginia election filings show the Ralph Northam campaign considered media work from the Latino Victory Fund an in-kind contribution, which seems to include the horrific ad showing a supporter of Ed Gillespie trying to murder dark-skinned children. And they are stunned and a bit amused as a departing Twitter employee briefly shuts down President Trump’s Twitter account.

No matter what the election outcome next week, the media will be big losers. This campaign season has seen much of the media rip off their veneer of objectivity, too often acting instead as an unofficial campaign arm working to elect Hillary Clinton.

The latest revelation — that the town hall moderator overseeing a Democratic primary debate gave CNN contributor Donna Brazile a peek at expected questions, and Brazile then fed Hillary Clinton’s campaign staff a question expected to come up in the primary debate against Bernie Sanders — confirms the too cozy relationships between the politicians and the so-called journalists and officials who are supposed to be helping Americans get unbiased information about candidates.

Donna BrazileThe WikiLeaks email scandal that embroiled the Democrats just before their convention caused DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to step down. Now it appears that hers was only the first of several heads to roll. The DNC’s CEO Amy Dacey resigned in disgrace earlier today, along with two lieutenants. From Politico:

Also out are Communications Director Luis Miranda and Chief Financial Officer Brad Marshall. Marshall has been heavily criticized after a mass hack of DNC emails revealed he had suggested questioning Sen. Bernie Sanders’ religion during his primary contest with Hillary Clinton.

The departures were formally announced in a Tuesday afternoon memo from new DNC head Donna Brazile, but news of Dacey’s resignation broke earlier in the day, before many people in the building had been alerted to her departure.
