Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the surprising analysis from NBC’s Chuck Todd that Pres. Biden had a major credibility problem on many different issues. They also smile at reports that Democrats fear they won’t be able to pass the $3.5 trillion monstrosity in its entirety or maybe at all, and they point out just one truly absurd provision in the bill that would impact all of us. And they highlight White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki for her ridiculous contention that illegal immigrants are not planning to stay long in the United States.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America are enraged that someone would send explosive devices to the Obamas, Clintons, CNN, and others and hope that those responsible for threatening or attacking public figures – or anyone else – are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  They’re also glad to see Indiana Republican Senate hopeful Mike Braun either closing in on Sen. Joe Donnelly or even taking the lead.  They slam MSNBC’s Chuck Todd and others for definitively declaring that there’s no evidence of criminals being part of the thousands of Central Americans headed towards the U.S. border when there is evidence to the contrary.  And they weather the final attack ads aimed at their favorite teams ahead of Sunday’s Bears-Jets game.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America welcome President Trump’s refusal to certify that Iran is honoring its part of the 2015 nuclear deal but wonder whether the deal will eventually be scrapped or be allowed to stick around.  They also approach the delicate issue of aging Republicans missing considerable time in the U.S. Senate and when the right time is to decide another term is not a good idea.  And they shake their heads as Chuck Todd of MSNBC rightly castigates the rise of activism cloaked as journalism but cannot see or admit that’s what his employer does on a daily basis.

After cheering the return of Steve Scalise to Congress more than three months after being shot, Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America applaud President Trump for lifting the ban on foreign ships bringing critical supplies to Puerto Rico from the U.S. and they discuss the problem of getting the supplies form the ships to the people who desperately need them.  They also fire back at former First Lady Michelle Obama for suggesting that women who voted for Trump “voted against their own voice” and just liked the candidate they were told to like.  And they hammer NBC’s Chuck Todd for mocking Roy Moore’s beliefs that out rights come from God rather than government, apparently without reading the Declaration of Independence.

Beat The Press

It all started when my publicist and part-time rodeo clown, world-renowned public relations consultant, Robin “Hood” Wink, reached over and pulled out one of Chuck Chuck “Bo Buck” Todd’s newly planted hair plug sprouts during our appearance on his NBC (Nasty But Corrupt, Inc.) Sunday morning news show, Beat the Press.

“I got that seedling from Schumer!” Chuck Chuck screamed, then took a swing at Hood, which was a mistake. She blocked his punch, then reached across the desk, throttled him with his blue NBC tie, and twirled him around her head like a lasso before tossing him into the studio’s huge black-and-white Huntley-Brinkley diorama, smashing it to smithereens.

NBC Wanted Jon Stewart to Host ‘Meet the Press’

After a prolonged ratings slide, NBC News recently handed the “Meet the Press” microphone to Chuck Todd. Most Sunday morning beltway shows have seen dramatic declines in viewership, but MTP was dropping them at a slightly higher rate that its cookie-cutter competitors.

The network hopes that the ginger-goateed reporter can right the ship, but they seriously considered a much more radical choice. According to New York magazine, NBC News held negotiations with Jon Stewart and were prepared to offer “The Daily Show” comic “virtually ‘anything’ to bring him over.”
