Welcome to the New (Brainwashed) Civilization

I had a disturbing conversation with a relative, a cousin who is an off-the-charts left-leaning liberal and much older than me. She lives out west. She’s my flesh and blood and I let it drop today that I, and others in our family and my husband’s family had not been vaccinated.  My reasons are personal preference due to major food allergies and a very bad reaction to a flu shot in 2008.

She and her husband have been vaccinated and boosted out the tail. When I disclosed this, she had a meltdown. “OH! OH! Oh no!! Oh!  NO!  I never would have thought you were like that!  I am sweating — I can’t talk — I have to end this conversation! Oh no! A super spreader — how could you not?!!  We had no post-symptoms!

Florida’s So-Called ‘Don’t Say Gay Bill’ Passes

Recently @henryracette expressed his outrage as did I, about the transgender movement in separate posts. We hope that all citizens who care about the future of our children and our country will take a stand against this sickening and destructive movement. We also highly recommend your reading Abigail Shrier’s book, Irreversible Damage. Her research shines a light on the calamitous damage this movement is committing. Fortunately, the Florida legislature with the support of Gov. Ron DeSantis has taken a stand to protect our kids and has drawn the ire and condemnation of those who support the LGBTQ+ and transgender movement.

Meanwhile, let me tell you about the Florida bill which has passed and awaits the governor’s signature. Here is the first part of the bill, called the Parental Rights in Education Bill minus the common pejorative wording:

Requiring district school boards to adopt procedures that comport with certain provisions of law for notifying a student’s parent of specified information; requiring such procedures to reinforce the fundamental right of parents to make decisions regarding the upbringing and control of their children in a specified manner; prohibiting the procedures from prohibiting a parent from accessing certain records; providing construction*; prohibiting a school district from adopting procedures or student support forms that prohibit school district personnel from notifying a parent about specified information or that encourage or have the effect of encouraging a  student to withhold from a parent such information; prohibiting school district personnel from discouraging or prohibiting parental notification and involvement in critical decisions affecting a student’s mental, emotional, or physical well-being; providing construction; prohibiting classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in certain grade levels or in a specified manner.

Neither conformity nor non-conformity are value propositions in and of themselves outside the context of the object or the impetus of the subject. To do as others do simply because others do is no more informative than not to do as others do simply because they do. The problem with conformity today as it reaches […]

Enviro-Fascism for Toddlers

My kindergartner (ok, not a toddler, per se) is watching some Nickelodeon show called “Rainbow Rangers.” I only paid attention to the background noise until I heard something infuriating.  Their happy little home was experiencing earthquakes; very odd, since they’re not on a fault line. What could possibly be causing this destruction to their home?

Why, fracking, of course. “Scientists say that it’s bad for the environment.” The fracking manager lays booby traps and is, of course, as evil as possible. Undeterred, the Rainbow Rangers show him a better way to generate energy: windmills! Never mentioned, of course, is that wind energy is incredibly inefficient and saves no money long term, to say nothing of the impact (pardon the pun) on fowl-life.

So, there is a climate strike going on; children are escaping from school gleefully, protesting inaction on climate change because a leftist wish list has not been implemented.  What is to be done by those of us without children to send to school in spite of the so-called strike.  How about a counter protest?  When […]

I think I heard the start of this with today’s substitute for Rush on his show so I hope whoever listened for more details can fill them in. Somewhere in the northeast, it was discovered (?) that a group of history teachers were in email contact about making a “pact” to HIDE their liberal progressive […]
