Failure Is the Only Option

As I watch the work of the Biden Administration unfold, I can’t help but wonder if there is an overarching and hidden lesson that we are supposed to learn. Does anyone remember a time when any administration has made so many disastrous decisions in just over one year? It’s as if we are supposed to learn from all these outcomes that the US has failed, and will continue to fail, at every level.

Here is a partial list of the devastating results of their policies: lack of response to the Russian threat; meaningless response to China; ineptitude of Kamala Harris; gas prices; re-emergence of energy dependence; withdrawal from Afghanistan; shortages in supply chain; colluding with media; chaos at the border; inflation now over 8%; crime; war on parents; empowering Iran; damaging our relationship with Israel.

Again, it’s just a partial list. (Feel free to add more in the comments.)

Summary

This week’s episode of the Center for Immigration Studies’ weekly podcast covers the Biden administration’s decision to not publish the 2021 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) “Enforcement and Removal Operations Report”. This detailed annual report, which allows policymakers, law enforcement officers and the public to compare enforcement metrics over time, has been published by December 31 for at least the last decade.

Sam Brownback, a former senator and governor of Kansas, joined “Plugged In” host and former FERC chairman Neil Chatterjee to relate his experience wearing many different hats in government, including diplomacy, to the conflict in Eastern Europe and its impact on energy.

Brownback said as the war in Ukraine worsens and more sanctions are placed on Russian oil, President Vladimir Putin may look to China for a way out.

Is Hunter Biden Advising Policy Now?

The Biden Administration has launched a $30 million program to distribute crack pipes. (Don’t look at me, I didn’t vote for that guy.)

The $30 million grant program, which closed applications Monday and will begin in May, will provide funds to nonprofits and local governments to help make drug use safer for addicts. Included in the grant, which is overseen by the Department of Health and Human Services, are funds for “smoking kits/supplies.” A spokesman for the agency told the Washington Free Beacon that these kits will provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and “any illicit substance.”

As we’ve seen with the Biden Administration, Departments never let an Observance Day go to waste.  The most recent round of Sanctions announced by the State Department has epitomized this. If you ever had a hard time thinking about how best to observe International Human Rights Day (or International Anti-Corruption Day), don’t worry, the State […]

Three statements, posted on the Senate web pages of Senator Manchin (D-WV) and Senator Sanders (S-VT) are worth reading. Each address the Xiden-Socialist scheme to truly transform America through the means of one massive piece of legislation fraudulently styled a budget reconciliation bill for the purpose of evading the Senate 60 vote cloture rule. They […]

The Sniffer in Chief has betrayed our troops, the real Afghan patriots, and the American people. He is directly responsible for abandoning both American citizens and courageous, decent Afghans in favor of the sort of material the Squad and the rest of the Red-Green alliance of socialists and Islamists find useful in transforming one community […]

Governor DeSantis Ready to Rumble

Governor Ron Desantis official RumbleGovernor Ron DeSantis is ready to Rumble* with the radical Democrat regime and their social media wing. In April, Google/YouTube discriminated against his viewpoint and sought to silence a governor and real medical experts competing opinions by deleting a video conference recording. Governor Desantis did not engage in phony posturing.

Instead, he had his staff establish an official Rumble channel and change all video links in official press releases to point to Rumble. This means that the governor’s office of Florida is directing traffic away from YouTube toward a newer platform, Rumble. Governor Desantis shows what an aggressive, informed executive looks and sounds like.

INFRASTRUCTURE RHETORIC AND RESULTS:

Greg and guest host Rob Long discuss Jon Stewart’s hilarious lab-leak rant, the Biden administration’s ties to a Chinese foreign policy lobbying firm, and a Massachusetts school board’s decision to ban “microaggressions” on all federally protected classes.

On this episode of “The Federalist Radio Hour,” Samantha Dravis, senior vice president at Clout Public Affairs and visiting fellow at the Independent Women’s Forum, joins Culture Editor Emily Jashinsky to discuss the Biden administration’s approach to energy and why conversations about climate change and other environmental policies are so difficult to have.

On this episode of “The Federalist Radio Hour,” Federalist Political Editor John Daniel Davidson joins Culture Editor Emily Jashinsky to discuss why, despite the Biden administration’s firm denial, there is indeed a crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border and how it can be stopped.

It seems as though the current holder of the “Office of the Presidential-Elect”, Joe Biden, with his nosy nostrils and healing touch of unity, has issued his global campaign of “Build Back Better” (aka The Great Reset) which seems to require quite a bit. It requires over 25,000, fully-vetted, partisan troops that are politically loyal […]

Regulatory Climate Change

I work for a municipal utility that operates a small power plant in Missouri. Built in 1928, the plant houses nine diesel/natural gas generators, the oldest of which is a 1946 model (see video below). The plant served as the city’s primary source of power up till the 1980s when it became more economical to contract energy from larger plants. While they’re no longer the primary source of power for the city, they still serve a major role in fulfilling capacity and peaking needs for the city.

As part of my job, I handle the environmental compliance for the plant. Over the last decade, we’ve spent over $2 million to comply with Obama era EPA regulations. These engines run less than 75 hours each a year. Such a waste of money and time.

The headline in the WSJ reads “Economy’s struggles will shape new term”.  The sense of the article is that, in a new “Biden” administration, the government will have to shepherd the economy that was ruined by the government, back to health. Will someone please tell me how such an administration, guided by a party which […]
