Dumping the Daily Rag


For months we’ve been threatening to cancel the Orlando Sentinel. The time arrived to renew our subscription, and that was it. The deed is now done.

Over the past 10 years we have also subscribed to the Wall Street Journal. Some people have complained that the WSJ is moving left, which is true, but they are not that far left. So we read it, especially to get the national news.

The Orlando Sentinel was the “large paper” in the area. In 2008, daily subscribers were over 600,000; as of spring 2017, circulation (like so many other newspapers) dropped to 300,000. Unfortunately they decided to increase revenue on the backs of their long-time subscribers.

The Good News: Associated Press to Stop Calling AGW Skeptics “Deniers” …
