Rob Long is in for Jim again Wednesday. Today, they celebrate the news that the FBI found no evidence of a hate crime in connection to a “noose” found in the garage of Bubba Wallace but that doesn’t stop Wallace and Al Sharpton from insisting something sinister happened. They also slam House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for saying the Republican police reform bill is tantamount to them getting away with the murder of George Floyd. And they discuss the primary election results showing another AOC-like Democrat headed to Congress from New York and wonder how America will react to vote counts lasting several days or even weeks come November.

Join Jim and Greg as they react to Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr stepping down from his committee post as the FBI investigation deepens into his coronavirus-related investment decisions. They also assess why Joe Biden keeps moving far left even though he has the Democratic nomination wrapped up. And they recoil as those quick-response COVID tests used by the White House and other places are found to deliver false negatives anywhere from 33-48 percent of the time.

Join Jim and Greg as they slam AOC’s economic lunacy and callously partisan response to Monday’s plummeting oil futures. They also shake their heads as CNN says Kim Jong Un is in grave condition and NBC has him brain dead, while Reuters has him fine just hours later. And they gag as Gayle King of CBS gushes that “everyone know” Stacey Abrams is “extremely qualified” to be Joe Biden’s running mate.

I happened to catch a humorous but insightful comment by Michael Knowles in his Day 14 Lockdown video over at The Daily Wire, and I thought I’d share it with Ricochet. At around 27:30 into the video, in response to the question from someone named Nicholas, “How do you like your 30-day trial of communism?”, […]

I can’t help noticing that hard times bring out the inner totalitarian in many of our elected officials, especially those for whom I did not vote. There was a good deal of discussion and snickering when the oratorical cadences of Mayor Pete seemed to match those of B. H. Obama. It seemed as though Pete […]

This is an interesting case of Democrat infighting. Media star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a program to raise funds for challengers to her Democrat incumbent colleagues. Normally, the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee asks incumbents to contribute campaign funds for general campaigning on behalf of incumbents. Miss AOC is refusing to contribute those funds to the party and instead is helping fund campaigns by those candidates she deems more worthy. Interesting, very interesting.

Another fruitless search for good news today but we have plenty to say about our bad and crazy martini! Join Jim and Greg as they react to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez openly cheering on anti-Semitic, America-hating Jeremy Corbyn to be the next prime minister in the United Kingdom. They fume as Rep. Rashida Tlaib falsely assumes the race of the people responsible for targeting and killing of Jewish people in Jersey City. They also slam the media for losing interest in the murders when the facts of the case don’t support their preferred narrative. And while Democrats haven’t even taken over the Virginia General Assembly yet, they’re already talking about deploying the National Guard to counties that refuse to enforce their upcoming gun control legislation.

I was in D.C. for my annual speech to the International Mensa Convocation when my longtime friend, attorney, and part-time oenophile, E. Hobart Calhoun, invited me to join him on the front row for a live presentation of the House Democracks’ hot new game show, What’s My Lyin’?

E. had just been named as the 78th member of President Big D’s impeachment defense team. As low man on Big D’s lawyer totem pole, E. had been dispatched to monitor the hit show, where panelists try to guess the contestant’s occupation.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America welcome a solid September jobs report, including a lower unemployment rate and a reduction in people leaving the labor force. They also break down the text messages among U.S. diplomats about President Trump’s approach to Ukraine, with one clearly seeing a quid pro quo and one saying it’s definitely not. And they comment on AOC declaring she’s bored with impeachment and just wants to get it done so she can keep her eyes “on the prize of social and economic and racial justice.”

President Trump with Pakistan PMPresident Trump declines. In a sit-down informal press conference, with the Prime Minister of Pakistan mostly off camera, President Trump answered a series of questions, mostly by foreign journalists, on Afghanistan and Pakistan. Consider his comments as part of a larger information campaign, or public diplomacy, with both leaders and citizens of countries in the region, especially Iran.

Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America highly enjoy the return of infighting among Democrats, as progressive House members target moderate Rep. Henry Cuellar and Cuellar slams them in return. They also unload on Yahoo! for running a story accusing actor Chris Pratt of white supremacy for wearing a t-shirt featuring the U.S. flag and the Gadsden Flag, and for labeling mainstream conservative groups as elements of the far right fringe. And they roll their eyes as Planned Parenthood removes its president after just eight months, in part because she refused to use trans-friendly language when discussing pregnancy.

The Democrats are no more destined to ride an arc of history to final and permanent rule than is the liberal democratic order to persist after the prematurely proclaimed end of history. There is no socialist utopia or dystopia waiting to be finally realized. At the same time, as President Trump realizes, action in one […]

dumpster fire tweetsThis is not good at all. President Trump unleashed a series of tweets that have cut short the story about Democrats self-destructing, making him and us the targets now. I don’t know how he’s going to dig himself out of his false claim that any of the “’Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen,” other than Ilhan Omar, came from another country.

You have likely heard for most of your life, from the ever-more-leftist universities and media organs, “Latin American death squads” are a tool of right-wing dictators and military governments trying to suppress the people’s champions, the leftist, progressive, forces. You have also heard Democrats consistently defend leftist regimes in Latin America. You will recall that a Democrat-controlled Congress prohibited funding support to the “Contras” in opposition to the socialist Sandinista government in Nicaragua (a crew that is now back in power through the ballot box).

You will also remember that the New York Times suppressed knowledge of the Holodomor and the Holocaust, as each unfolded. So, it is quite shocking, and refreshing, to see the New York Times publish “Venezuela Forces Killed Thousands, Then Covered It Up, U.N. Says.”
