Todd is joined once more time in 2020 by Kenn and Megan, and the three of them talk about the incredible journey the Blue Team has been on in 2020. They run through some of the highlights of where they’ve been, and also discuss future books for 2021.

In this strange episode, we’re taking a mulligan! Craig, Stephanie, Ryan, and Kenn realized their first attempt at this episode missed a lot of stuff, so you’re hearing take number two. But fear not! We’ll still air the original attempt as well shortly.

Craig and Ryan welcome Drew and Lauren McCaffrey, who have come to discuss Shadows of the Empire, the Star Wars movie that never was. There’s a lot to discuss, between the book and its accompanying video game and the rest of the marketing push to make Shadows a huge thing back in 1996. There’s enough ground to cover, in fact, that we made this episode a two-parter, and you can hear the other part on Drew’s podcast, Inking Out Loud. Head over there to hear the companion episode, and to get the other half of the hashtag you’ll need to enter the giveaway drawing. (More details below.)

Listen to the Inking Out Loud episode here.

The Blue Team is back for their last bit of Dresden discussion for a while. Todd, Megan, and Kenn cut the last Dresden episode off a bit abruptly because they wanted to give [redacted]’s death in this book more than a cursory five-minute treatment. So that’s what this episode is all about. Enjoy!

Craig and Ryan sit down to reminisce about 300 episodes and thank the panelists and audience for nearly 7(!) wonderful years. They also splice in some audio from the other panelists and a couple of key listeners.

Craig and Ryan got their hands on an advance copy of Brandon Sanderson’s latest Stormlight Archive entry: Rhythm of War. They sit down and discuss their general feelings on how the book went, how it fits with the rest of the series, and what the reactions of fans might be once the book is released on November 17th. There are no spoilers for Rhythm of War, but this discussion does assume that you’ve read the rest of the Stormlight Archive. Be ye warned.

“I liked it…but I was not okay.” The Blue Team discusses Battle Ground, the devastating 17th entry Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files.

Todd, Kenn, and Megan of the Blue Team sit down (remotely) to discuss Peace Talks, the sixteenth book in Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series.

Todd, Kenn, and tag-along Craig sit down for an hour with Jim Butcher, author of the Blue Team’s beloved Dresden Files. He spills the details on his favorite games, the history of Bob, and much more, and even drops some hints about the direction of book 18, tentatively titled … nah, you’ll have to listen to hear that tidbit.

Jim has released two new Dresden books in recent months. Pick up Peace Talks and Battle Ground now.

Stephanie and Megan weren’t there for our Wheel of Time podcast series, but that didn’t stop them from reading the entire run of books in 2020. And they’ve got some thoughts to share … even if they can’t remember half the characters’ names.

Todd, Kenn, and Megan reconvene to further discuss Skin Game, the fifteenth(!) book in Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series. And most burning question? How could Harry have known about the “parkour” joke from The Office? IT JUST DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE. Nothing but the hard-hitting questions here, folks.

Craig, Ryan, and Sara are back for more! There’s more discussion to be had around The Fifth Season, book 1 in N.K. Jemesin’s Broken Earth trilogy. And while they planned for a short episode, this one turned out to be a bit more than they bargained for.

Megan, Kenn, and Todd discuss Skin Game, the fifteenth book in Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series. For those of you who are disappointed that we don’t have a bingo card yet for all the things you just KNOW are going to be said (or cried) during these episodes, well … yeah, we get it. Maybe later.

Craig, Ryan, and Sara give their takes on the The Fifth Season, the first in the three-time Hugo award-winning Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jemisin. There’s a lot to dig into with this book, thanks to plenty of Discord comments from the listeners (thank you!), and there’s even a little surprise at the very end, so stay tuned.

Blue Team — that is Todd, Megan, and Kenn — discuss Ghost Story, book 13 in Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series. Are they enjoying the series as much after the changes in Changes? Only one way to find out!

Todd, Kenn, and Stephanie wrap up their discussion of Nemesis Games, book 5 in The Expanse series by James S.A. Corey.

Spoilers through chapter 26! Todd, Kenn, and Stephanie are back for another installment of James S.A. Corey’s The Expanse. Up today, book five: Nemesis Games. They were told that getting through book 5 was a must, so here we are! Obviously this is an important book and an important discussion, so they spend the first two minutes talking about baseball. We’re here for you, people.

The Blue Team (Megan, Kenn, and Todd) needed an extra episode to sort through their feelings on Small Favor, Turn Coat, and Changes, books 10 through 12 of Jim Butcher’s increasingly remarkable Dresden Files.
