That was the nickname of Tom Seaver, the major-league pitcher. Before that, it was the name of a children’s cartoon. In any case, it certainly applies to Thomas Sowell, the economist, philosopher, and writer. His latest book is Wealth, Poverty and Politics: An International Perspective.
With Jay, he talks about some of the key questions of that book, and of life: what makes individuals and peoples rich or poor; whether equality of income is important; what the link is between prosperity and the rule of law.
Also, Jay asks Dr. Sowell to comment on some of the phrases and concepts that litter our lives: “social justice,” “legacy of slavery,” “trickle down.”
They end with some talk about sports, as it relates to race and society. (Sowell is an old ballplayer.) Everyone knows that Thomas Sowell is an outstanding thinker and writer. He is also an A-1 podcast interviewee.

Why have this episode and the previous two not appeared on Stitched? The latest episode there is the September 7 episode, Carly Time.
We’ll ask Stitcher and get back to you. Seems to be something on their end as we have not changed anything here.
iTunes is having the same issue. I haven’t had a new episode appear since Carly Time.
It seems that all episodes are now available on Sticher. Thanks!
