The entire crew — Scott, Paul, Steve and John — assembled for this episode of Power Line. They kicked around the issues of the day, including the pros and cons of Donald Trump, Cecil the lion, the seemingly bipartisan criminal justice “reform” movement, and the Planned Parenthood videos. The discussion was lively, to say the least.

FWIW there are some people who are painfully aware of what’s going on, and has been going on, and of the videos, who are not going to watch them either.

I’m one of those people. I don’t want to see it.

All my adult life I’ve been fighting abortion. Listening to and reading descriptions of what’s in the tapes is as much as I can stand to see/hear.

Regrettably I think that collectively the United States’ heart is so hard, Democrats so adamantly committed to abortion at any time for any reason, and Republicans too gutless and inept to use their majorities in the House and Senate, for anything to actually be done about it.

This is one of the reasons I (and I suspect many other Republican “base” voters) are so angry with the party. When the party has had the Congress and White House  what’s actually gotten done, besides appointing judges who end up upholding abortion?

There’s a “Born Alive Protection Act.” So what? What effect has this had on Planned Parenthood’s practices? None apparently, other than making them extremely cautious about how they handle their affairs.

I’m sorry to say I don’t look for any real accountability to be effected in this matter.

I think that Nick makes a fair point – no one should need to see babies being sliced and diced or people discussing the harvesting their body parts over lunch to know that it’s evil.  Still, do need to see it and I don’t want to gloss over the message because of the way it’s delivered.  This week’s Power Line was right on target with this and other topics.  Good job, guys!
