Radio Free Delingpole Episode 31: Crossing The Zombie Bridge

James Delingpole, Britain’s most dangerous podcaster, is back from his self-imposed hiatus (he explains the reason in the show) and this week, with guest Tim Stanley, he covers the horror of bureaucratic morality, feeling vs. knowing, loving Europe but not the European Union, Hugh Grant, Cyprus, and, yes, zombies!

Yes, Wisconsin is the Badger State, so called because of the lead miners who burrowed into the hillside like badgers. Compare with it’s neighbor to the south, the kakistocratic People’s Republic of Illinois which is the Sucker State, so-called originally for a fish or plant or something, but now more aptly descriptive of the voters who keep returning the same parasites and vermin to state and local office year after year.

Sorry to say that here in the US the “John Wilkes” memory sector is already occupied by John Wilkes Booth (you may have heard of him). Still, the actual and original John Wilkes does seem a fascinating character. I always thought the “your principles or your mistress” quote was Disraeli.

Allow me to amend one of your statements:  The purpose of education is to create good citizens who will ascribe to the ideas that keep the ruling class in power.

    There, fixed it.

Glad to have you back, James!

I enjoy that you manage to mention birds at least once per podcast.

Hugh Grant liked to read you? Well done, James.

A nation with no sense of history will waste a lot of time was a superb section in a great podcast.

When the time comes to purchase a shotgun (note: the time is always now) I suggest you impress your friends and terrify your enemies with this training DVD. It is called the Art of the Dynamic Shotgun, and it is made by the firearm magazine company Magpul that recently decided to leave Colorado after they passed gun control legislation restricting the capacity of magazines to fifteen rounds. Makes sense, right?

You’ll be shotgunning the heads off of your homemade white walker silhouettes in no time.
