My governor, Piyush “Bobby” Jindal is a policy wonk to the max. He wasted great opportunities as my governor and is campaigning quite far to the right of his record.
He’s waved that white flag himself quite often.
In spite of this he has been a good governor and done some great things for the state.
For those not that used to him, he is at his best when he stutters. That means that he is on fire, with a comprehension of ALL the facts and them being in his favor.
Jim Geraghty slipped in an Avengers reference :) .
I like the things I have heard from him the last few weeks. I am not committed to anyone and I’d like to know more about the complaints of Louisiana conservatives, but he definitely strikes me as one to watch.
I liked what I heard. If I would vote today, it would be him.
Stick a fork in him in anything other than a Cabinet position.
From the Blog which won an award at CPAC for Best State Level Blogger, a very well deserved award. You will not find any better overall reporting about Louisiana politics than here, bar none.

Jindal has been a great governor as compared to any governor here in the last 50 years.
FWIW, my ancestor, Governor Alexandre Mouton, was a sho nuff fiscal hawk to beat all. He took the state for teetering on bankruptcy to swimming in black ink in just one year via selling off a lot of state owned property (much of it slaves) and cutting services (mostly ferries). However, he did chair the state secession committee. His friendship with Longfellow, while a senator, resulting in “Evangeline”.
