Finally got around to listening to this one. Mr. Abel’s experience tracks with mine when I was in the Navy ’92-’96. 97 on the ASVAB, boot at Great Lakes, Sonar school in San Diego (successful) and 3 years on a Frigate. Life was about the same as he described.
Seems like the problem isn’t the pool of eligible people isn’t the problem so much as people willing to consider joining.
