I ran in high school and college and did run after as well although not as hardcore as Jack or his guest.  I still run 5 days a week but haven’t run a race since my fourth kid four years ago which just made it too busy to do anymore.

So neither of you believe in anything for you to experience after death?

Impending fatherhood makes most quality people more responsible and clearheaded. I think Elon Musk is reacting to that elusive different drummer in his head.

    That sounds like healthy behavior.

We have a runner in our neighborhood that my husband nicknamed Smiley because of the grimace plastered on his face as he ran. He ran for hours nearly every day starting in the 80s. He is still out there, imitating a runner, with lots of wraps, a limp, and that same grimace.  I hurt for him.

This has been a common rejoinder, and a fair one. I kept religion out of our discussion deliberately. But I am in favor of immortality as expostulated by the Catholic Church.
