Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
In this, the debut episode of the Young Americans (we changed the name from “Young Folks” after recording), Jack Butler, of the Remnant with Jonah Goldberg, and his youthful interlocutors justify their podcast to a candid world, debate whether young people have to move to big cities to succeed in life, and wonder whether Incredibles 2 is yet another example of Hollywood’s nostalgia- and laziness-driven reliance on sequels.

Wow, so many bad takes:
Both BayWatch and Fast & Furious are excellent, and will be remembered by historians for featuring future President Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
While the Harry Potter movies won’t stand the test of time, the books absolutely will
Rap, Hip-Hop, and electronic music continue evolving, while hipster “folk” music had a revival from 2006-2012ish
Jack Butler and Mark Naida?
It’s a Hillsdale reunion!
Heh. On behalf of those of us in our early 30s: the feeling is mutual Jack.

The movie discussion begins at about the 20-minute line. I confess I skipped a lot of the millennial navel gazing before that!
Also, I was surprised the theme music wasn’t “Young Americans” by David Bowie. (“What? By Whom?”)
We’ll try to avoid outright Millennial navel gazing, but we would like at least to discuss things that young people are experiencing these days. Also, movies.
And yes, we know who David Bowie is. The Thin White Duke casts a long shadow.
Seriously – only available in itunes on the superfeed? I don’t *want* the superfeed…
Any chance I can find this on Stitcher soon?
Yes! https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/ricochet/young-americans
Thanks! I’m catching up with your first podcast now.
