The discussion about spending so much time on Bond arriving at an airport reminded me of what someone said about, I think The Count of Monte Cristo, and how it speaks of the time it was written. In the book in question, the host has the protagonist over for a meal and to show how extravagant it is, the meal consists of two or three different types of fish. Like Bond and air travel, that was a big deal at the time.

The production pace came up a couple weeks ago, after the election, when people were commenting that Trump will be the first administration, since Bonds films started, to not have a Bond film released during his term.

    The beach bum, from Wikipedia:

Victor Tourjansky, had a cameo as a man drinking his wine as Bond’s Lotus emerges from the beach. As an in-joke, he returned in similar appearances in another two Bond films shot in Italy, Moonraker (the Venice gondola sequence) and For Your Eyes Only (during the ski chase).

Not sure how he ended up in the movie.

Gotta be a story why they used him. Thanks for watching!
