    Good talk.

One thing. #metoo hasnt been taken over by a political movement. It started out as a political movement. Democratic strategists looking ahead to 2020 realized that Donald Trump has a vulnerability on this issue. In order to keep counter charges of hypocrisy and to make sure democrats could hold the high ground on this issue. Began a purge of their own. Look at who they sacrificed…

Until this unfortunate allegation against Biden (from their perspective) the #metoo movement had been just taking down democrats that the democrat establishment didnt particularly care about. Harvey Weinstein a valuable donor – but as a nearly retired movie producer his future value was diminishing rapidly… Al Franken a barely electable seat warmer from fly over country? Who’d be replaced by a democrat with perhaps more potential?

#Metoo was just clearing the decks so that they could take on Donald Trump’s sex life in 2020. So they could win a issue free campaign, get elected without a clear agenda…

Also I know exactly why the senate won’t release any documents. They dont want to set a precedent that anyone could make an accusation against a senator and then demand documents. Their primary focus is always to protect the incumbents.

Hi…as promised I did tune in despite what I thought was a waste of our (yours and mine) time last week with Moe Vela. Glad I did….even a hard-core Leftist would not be able to say that you ducked issues or failed to probe.

I thought you were a bit too defensive in your opening discussing Vela but when you see and hear someone who was as consistent and logical as is Ms. Severino the inadequacy and less than forthrightness of Vela’s presentation become so much more obvious. I mentioned I did not think Vela was an honest broker—contrast his non-stop need to self-justify with ‘To be honest…’ and’Truthfully…” while she felt no need to try to convince an audience of the worth of her opinions.

Thanks for this well spent 48 minutes.

I’m listening to the beginning of this and I have to comment right away. This gets right at my problem with talking with Democrats and my problem with how the GOP approaches things generally. What Vela doesn’t get is, the government and the federal reserve interfere with humans solving their problems for each other. Then you get this feedback mechanism that gets worse and worse between the political system and the economy. It’s too late to even talk about it in those terms until we have a gigantic crisis, which is a large part of why Trump got elected and he’s not as bad as some Republicans think.

Also, I completely agree about Dick Cavett. The guy is comprehensively awesome.

    Here’s another one:

Positive rights are created at gunpoint, and it’s nothing to be cavalier about, as in this tweet. This is not how the country wa set up, for obvious reasons.

Central planning is a proven bad idea, and we keep doing it because we keep doing it. It’s an unstoppable doomsday machine. Look at the debt to GDP.

Moe Vela doesn’t deserve such high falutin’ euphemisms for his blatant dishonesty.

It might be entertaining though, to ask Moe Vela how he squares the Democrats’ simultaneous faithful adherence to both

    • Feminism, and
    • Muslims

Or, since Moe Vela surely supports the harassment of Christian bakeries and florists and photographers who refuse to endorse such things as same sex marriage, I’d love to know if Moe Vela would be willing to sue the local halal bakery to compel it to cater Hymie’s upcoming bar mitzvah.

Hypothesis: Dave sees himself and Moe Vela as men of good will talking to each other, not realizing that Left and Right define “good will” differently.

Dave, like most conservatives, is a traditionalist in ethics: statements are to be judged on their truth or falsity. Moe Vela, like most progressives, is a utilitarian in ethics: true or false, statements are instead to be judged on how well they advance the cause of social justice. Which sometimes requires looking at black and insisting it’s white.

Thus, Dave decries the blatant double standard shown by how accusations against Bret Kavanaugh and Joe Biden are treated, while Moe Vela glories in it — all the while denying that a double standard exists, of course!

From Moe Vela’s point of view, Dave’s telling the truth about Joe Biden is evil, because it helps Trump and, therefore, helps put off the day that progressives seize control of the Supreme Court and can start rewriting the Constitution in earnest.

P.S.: Tara Reid is an actress chiefly famous for her plastic surgery mishaps. Tara Reade is the former Joe Biden employee who accuses him of sexual assault.

Lisa Bloom. Harvey Weinstein’s attorney. Zero principles. Total parasite on society.

All they care about is grabbing power any way they can and then they sort out what they are going to do.

You guys also talked about the media.

Why am I supposed to be against Trump, again?
