I read Ted’s book. It was good. A bit “The Constitution: My Part in its Downfall” (Spike Milligan reference), but a nice summary of the usual headline-grabbing jurisprudence. Worth the purchase.

A stylistic suggestion: instead of saying things about one’s legislative experience like “I led the fight for …” or “I was the main opponent of …”, the alternative formulation “I was a leader in the fight for …” and “I was a strong opponent of …” is just as powerful, but dials down the ego in what is, after all, a collective enterprise (at least, if any actual legislating is to be done).

Wow! You are on fire today Dave. Loved this interview with Cruz and wish he had been Attorney General from the beginning. How different the last three years would have been.

Agreed GWW. I’m guessing Barr doesn’t stay for the full 2nd term. Cruz is running for reelection in ’24. Maybe he takes over AG before then and if a SCOTUS seat opens up before Trump departs in 25, who knows… Ted may reconsider accepting a nomination.
