    Terrific podcast!

The roots of the Kavanaugh debacle lie, not in the Robert Bork hearings themselves, but in the failure of the Republican Senators to make the next Democratic nominee pay.

If the opposing pitcher throws a brushback pitch, next inning your pitcher throws a brushback pitch. If you let the other side get away with it, you encourage bad behavior.

This is understood by everyone except the Never-Trumpy sort of fake conservatives that we have with us, who constantly urge us to practice unilateral disarmament.

I am glad the book is doing so very well. To debut at #1 without any mainstream media promotion, and Amazon disallowing reviews!

    Movie rights?

I agree, with one minor correction.

Not all of the “Never-Trumpy” types are fake conservatives. I think that many of them are just overly kind and naive.

For example, they think the Constitution enforces itself, so it doesn’t matter if Democrats get a majority on the Supreme Court.*

Also simple ignorance: when I pointed out that, as far as personal behavior is concerned, compared to JFK Trump is an angel of light, an NTer didn’t know what I was talking about. And this was a grown-up, too!

*If Trump loses, this could happen any time; which is why Chief Justice John Roberts takes pains to reach out to his Democratic colleagues.
